It's a huge improvement over the first. More of an arcadey racing game with some quentioningly implemented derby mechanics and object physics. Worth checking out at the price it's going for.
I absolutely love this game! I used to play Burnout 3 Takedown a lot as a kid and I heard this game had a similar soundtrack. Given it seemed like another car wrecking game, I decided to get this game and give it a try. The handling mechanics of this game takes getting used to as someone who plays dumb fun games like Burnout for its Arcady handling but once you get the hang of it, you hardly can get enough of it. Now I usually just played races but the stunts are pretty fun too! As much as they are creative, ramming other racers (I won't say any names :winkwink:) is just a joy. Derby is especially great for that but it's more of a juggernaut with Frank going loose. You just gotta love the guy. For what it is, I would say this is the game to get! Absolute must-buy!

Claaaasico das antigas. Acabei de jogar o 1 também, eu achei os atalhos do 1° jogo mais criativos. Aqui fica bem obvio os cortes de caminho. Os Stunts desse tem jogabilidade bem superior comparado ao anterior. Trilha sonora desse game é perfeita. Platina papo de menos de 20 horas.

A bit silly und unrealistic but in the right spots. The most fun racing game I ever played. Looks pretty good in 4k although it's so old. Unfortunately the fps seem to be capped at 100. Still as good as it was when I played it in my childhood. Don't really like the stunts though. Edit: I recently started playing Assetto Corsa with a wheel and pedals which is actually more satisfying, although it is much harder and more realistc, so it is my new favourite racing game but it doesn't beat FlatOut 2 in terms of "stupid fun" for everyone. Btw, my Logitech Driving Force GT never really worked with FlatOut 2 (somehow always had a huge deadzone there) but with Assetto Corsa it works as it should.
Impossible to race because of physics and bad AI. FO1 is much better game if a chaos is not your preference during racing.
