Looks fun, though it definitely requires friends to play with since matchmaking can't find anyone to play with. It would probably be a good idea to add bot support to the game so that at least you can play the game without needing to hope that someone is online.
Fun game with simple mechanics that lead to unique interactions with other players and the environment. Sound, art style, and overall design—not to mention the inclusion of split-screen co-op—give it a strong nostalgic feel. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention to detail went into making this game, the kind of passion you only find in indie titles. Perfect for both casual fun and more competitive play, whether online or in co-op with friends.
Outrunner reminds me a bit of the old tron games that I used to play online in the good old flash game area. It’s a well developed game and really adds with its 3D looks. It’s definitely a cool evolution form the 2D top down Tron games! I personally really like the duel mode because 1v1s can become super fun with power ups and trying to cut each other off. Overall, it’s a well made game! Gotta say, thank you to the developer! :)
(Will update as things change. Current update on 2/22/2025) Being a new game, there aren't very many players online yet. From what I've played so far though, this is cool as hell. The music, graphics and gameplay all feel great. They also have a Discord server and the dev is communicative. I would love to see this game get more attention!
Great light game. Took a short amount of time to get into the hang of it, but I like a challenge. Great synth music, smooth gameplay and nice visuals. A well put-together light game that's great for booting up with your friends or random people online.
I love that game!!!! Nice colours, good taste of music and very enjoyable worlds! Reminds me of old times! This game is for everyone who loves 80s and a solid multiplayer game! I can for sure recommend playing this!
This is the first review I am writing, but it is so necessary for this game. It is a great game, fun but still competitive, with a retro art style, that I really enjoy. The gameplay is very straight forward so it is easy to get started - I actually managed to get my non-gamer friends to play this game and they were hooked from the start. I tried getting them on board with multiple games, but this is the first one that really seems to reach them. In general, I also think it is an awesome addition to the multiplayer games I am playing, because you can play it in a smaller or bigger round, whatever works best (as the available of my friends is sometimes not the best). I am currently recommending this game to everyone and can't wait to play the next round.
Very fun game, I only wish there would be more people playing it ! Tron and Retro Vibes all the way
A lot of fun to play with friends and with a deceptively high skill ceiling.
god that was a throwback into my childhood. well done. as catchy as the good old tron games but the twist with the powerups and the ability too wallride makes it a new expirience. simple yet so fun
