Five Gods of Kung Fu

PLEASE GIVE THIS GAME A SHOT! This little unassuming game holds an albeit short story of only a few hours of game play but it IS SO WORTH IT. I think the asking price seems high, I know, but don't be fooled by the high pixelated graphics. The story, the mechanics, the art, the music, the game itself is nothing short of amazing. What a small bout of pure joy playing this game, discovering a small world with fantastic Kung Fu Masters and Themes. The game features unique mechanics to playout the combinations of different Kung Fu styles, which you can switch between fluidly at will, which allows combat to really feel like a 1970's Kung Fu film. Outside a few small and easily forgivable glitches where certain aspects of the game fail to load properly, forcing you to reload an earlier save (SAVE OFTEN!) it plays smoothly and easily. $20 for 5 hours of childhood joy? WORTH IT. (Game play hours vary based off user experience, there IS quite a lot of little hidden treasures and gems to find as easter eggs if you're wise enough to find them.)

Ein Spiel in dem es darum geht Kung Fu zu lernen, um die Statue des Großvaters von Ganoven zurück zu holen. Klingt wie ein Kung Fu Film aus den 70ern? Spielt sich auch genau so! Die Dialoge sind spektakulär witzig, die Geschichte großartig, die Animationen sehen fantastisch aus. Besonders die Trainingssenarien (junger Kerl trainiert bei altem Meister mit fragwürdigen Methoden) sind grandios umgesetzt. Das Kampfsystem ist "anders" aber nach einer Weile durchaus Intuitiv. Für Kung Fu LiebhaberInnen ein wirklicher Geheimtipp. Hoffentlich kehrt der Entwickler nochmal zurück, ein paar Sachen könnten noch verbessert werden. Mir persönlich sind die Kämpfe zu still. Da muss mehr Geschrei und Schlaggeräusche rein. Ein Cloudsave und Decksupport wären auch toll.
