The positive reviews for this piece of crap have got to be from shills. This is the DUMBEST damn game I've had the misfortune to be stuck in for years. Firstly this game is totally eurocentric. Come on, in this day and age? Secondly the crap about CO2 isn't even defined. What the hell do you mean by "CO2"? How much is PRODUCED, or how much the crop/product USES during growth? And what's with %ages? If you look at a "card" the label for CO2 says the limit is 100% (of WHAT?) and then you see values like 309%. WTF? And no I am NOT going to go look it up, because I don't give a flock. It has nothing to do with nutrition. Neither does this game. I am fully well aware that global warming is real and that it matters, and in fact I believe that with the current moron in the white house and his rolling back of all attempts to mitigate global warming, plus CHINA, it's too late and we as a species are doomed (and have doomed most other species living today). But this game isn't called "The Effects of Agriculture on Global Warming", it's called FIT and it's SUPPOSED to be about nutrition. It isn't. It's stupid propaganda that doesn't even explain itself well enough to be even minorly EFFECTIVE propaganda. Plus its boring. Plus plus once you start a game you're stuck in it for the whole round - I mean in single player mode, you are stuck. I had to use the Windows button and kill it from the outside.
I cant even think of proper words to describe this game. God-like? Transcendent? Celestial? This game...no... this masterpiece is not only something that can cure even the deepest, darkest deppression, it is a story, a story so magnificent that it makes you question who you are as a human being on a whole another level. The journey this paragon has started in my heart is something I wish for everyone in our universe to experience on their own, because whatever your age is, whatever sexuality you choose to have, none of that will matter after you start the breathtaking peregrination that is FIT Food.
A lot of the reviews are from gamers mocking this game for being lame, but it should be noted that it is essentially an edutainment title. It showed up in my "MMO" queue though, so I downloaded it. A nutrition-oriented edutainment title has potential, even if it is something that I'd never personally play. However, this title fails at both being educational and entertaining. The art style is decent for what it is and the games are functionally working. It allows for online multiplayer as well, which makes it easier to use in either a traditional or online classroom setting. The list of positives ends there, though, given the actual content is lacking in this title. The content is geared towards a younger audience it seems, yet the AI is programmed in such a way that it would definitely frustrate that younger crowd -- given the AI always seems to know the correct answer and in cube run -- knows the quickest path to the winning item. While not impossible to defeat the AI (for me, at least), it would likely frustrate a younger audience who could potentially lose repeatedly despite making correct choices. The card game's simplistic questions and randomly chosen food items create states where the AI opponents must choose incorrectly to have any chance of winning. In most edutainment titles, reasoning is given for a choice being correct or incorrect but in this title, there is very little to instruct someone who makes an incorrect choice except figures and showing the correct answer, which is hardly helpful for the extrapolating knowledge and skills learned in game to real life. It feels like a title where the focus was placed on the graphics while the actual underlying educational component and game mechanics were left unfinished. What made The Oregon Trail and Number/Word Munchers hits in the classroom were the combination of educational quality mixed with fun gameplay mechanics and either of these games still hold up quite well to today. Perhaps more simplistic 2D minigames could be used that provide additional instruction on nutrition could have been used instead of devoting so many resources to cube run and the 3d graphics. Nutrition is an important area of study and the edutainment market lacks many quality nutrition-focused titles, but Fit Food doesn't offer anything to significantly help fill this niche.

It has gaming elements
Fit Food is an utterly life-changing game. Not only does it encourage the near endless replayability of any card game, but the random element of most card games are removed by the time-sensitive quick pace of action. The main draw of this game is its revolutionary "CUBE RUN" mode, which has no equal anywhere else in the gaming sphere. In this mode you play the "ARBITER OF CUBES" and only the strong survive. All in all, I would rate this game as a 6/10 because you can jump at any time.
