Fish 'N' Chips

A nifty little swinging platformer. As advertised, you jump, and then you swing. I do wish the camera was a little further away as I found myself taking leaps of faith more often than I'd like, but I still enjoyed going through the nice looking levels that look a bit prettier than I'd expect from a free game. Try it out, it's free after all.

So... Two issues with this game: 1. The precision required to make some of these jumps, especially in the later half of the game, is pretty obnoxious to deal with at times, and all because it's far too easy to let yourself loose onto some spikes when letting go of your ropes due to the detaching being instantaneous, and thus, if you didn't directly and correctly judge the timing near, if not directly perfectly, you're going to be constantly sent back to the last checkpoint often. 2. The camera in this game, also known as the visibility of the platforming, is so awfully close to you in this game that it leads practically EVERY bit of platforming in this game, even the non-rope usage of platforming, to be a constant annoyance of blind jumps and swings that, due to the precision of swinging and detaching, can easily combo up to making this game overly brutal, even if the game is mercifully short. Overall, the difficulty of this game ends up being pretty cheap and artificial in the end. Doesn't mean that I wouldn't recommend that you at least TRY the game, just be cautious about the poor design, or of course, steer clear of this shipwreck.

Fun game. Good level designs and a really smooth physics engine to swing around!
