About

UNITED AGAINST FIRE. Face unpredictable dangers head-on, fight perilous fires with your crew, and save lives in Firefighting Simulator: Ignite. Step into the boots of a U.S. firefighter in a sprawling city in the American Midwest, where every mission pushes your skills to the limit. Experience the rush of firefighting in stunning visual quality in an intuitive and cooperative multiplayer mode with 3 friends or with the help of your NPC controlled crew. Battle raging and dynamic flames, heat, and smoke – all simulated in real time. Cutting-edge physics & graphics systems powered by Unreal Engine 5 let you experience firefighting immersion like never before.

Over your career, you deal with a range of challenging situations, like trapped civilians, electric fires, flammable liquids, grease fires, backdrafts, flashovers, and explosions. Equip yourself with authentic firefighting tools, including fire hoses, saws, Halligan tools, axes, and extinguishers, and use faithfully recreated fire engines and ladder trucks. Use the right tactics and methods with precision to put out blazing flames.

Each mission requires real-life firefighting strategies, such as ventilating to curb fire spread, cooling down overheated objects, sawing through obstacles, reducing air drafts, and selecting the proper extinguishing agent. But stay alert for signs of imminent danger, like thick smoke finding its way through closed doors and presenting the potential for a major disaster.
But don’t worry: you can learn how to fight fire and the use your tools properly back at the fire station hub, which serves as your headquarters between emergency operations. Relax between missions, inspect the large vehicle fleet that includes faithfully recreated trucks from Rosenbauer, and choose your next assignment.

When will the AI be fixed and improved? The AI is too dumb, it doesn't follow commands, and it can't even use the water cannon to put out fires.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I will start this by saying: YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY GOT TO FIX THE AI. They are SO BAD it's actually laughable, not just your AI firefighters, but the victims, too. The pathfinding is absolutely F-tier abysmal! Your squad mates will spam mayday calls constantly at best, when they are clearly able to move somewhere else, and at worst they will just stand there doing nothing and refusing to do anything until you direct them out of whatever invisible jam they're in. That said, I recommend this because it's been fun! It can be a bit frustrating at times, but the missions are interesting and it's fun to drive a fire truck, clearly. It has a similar vibe to powerwash simulator, so it pushes those dopamine buttons pretty well when it's at its best. But weltenbauer, you HAVE to fix the AI! It's such a huge drag on this otherwise excellent game.
Firefighting Simulator - Ignite (Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Let the City Burn) If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to lead a squad of lobotomized mannequins into a burning building, Firefighting Simulator - Ignite is the groundbreaking clinical study you’ve been waiting for. The "A" in AI stands for "Absent" Let’s talk about your "highly trained" squad. Calling these NPCs "firefighters" is an insult to water. Most of the time, they prefer to stand in the middle of a roaring inferno, staring blankly into the middle distance as if contemplating their own mortality. They don't fight fire; they witness it. Hydrating the Drywall When the AI finally decides to use their hoses, they demonstrate a fascinating obsession with walls. I watched my teammate spend five minutes aggressively hydrating a structural beam while the actual fire—you know, the thing that emits heat and destroys property—was having a party three inches behind it. It’s not firefighting; it’s high-pressure interior decorating. Rescue or Kidnapping? Trying to get the AI to rescue victims is like trying to teach a cat to solve a Rubik's Cube. Once they actually pick someone up, there is a 90% chance they will become permanently fused with a doorway or a piece of furniture. At that point, you aren't saving a life; you’re just watching two people vibrate against a wall until the building collapses. Highlights of the "Ignite" Experience: The Lone Wolf Simulator: You’ll end up doing 100% of the work anyway. The AI is essentially just a collection of sentient traffic cones that occasionally block your path. Physics from another Dimension: Watching your squad get "stuck" on a flat floor is a masterclass in unintentional comedy. Strategic Incompetence: The fire is the most intelligent entity in this game. Final Verdict: Save your money and just buy a garden hose and a picture of a fire. You’ll get a more realistic experience and significantly less frustration. Playing this game with "help" is like trying to put out a forest fire with a squad of people who think the water is for drinking and the fire is a suggestion.
So used to blowing things up and causing fires that it just hits different when you're in a game where you put them out.
Since I've watched a bunch of seasons of Chicago Fire, I was able to ace the training missions on the first go. Being able to have NPC teammates to help you out makes things that much more immersive. Since I'm a survival game player I like to speed run the area and loot all the downed civilians while the rest of the team keeps the fire back. Can't wait till this game matures enough to have a DLC where you get to fly the planes that drop water/chemicals on forest fires. For now I guess I'll have to be satisfied with handling my hose manually and trying not to cross the streams.
I bet Michael Bay would hate a game like this.
Holy DEI fire simulator batman. Do you hate wyte peepoh? Do you like having a Lezbian dispatcher from the UK who talks about her wife on the radio? Do you like seeing a fire station full of black and brown women and one white person!? Then b*y oh b*y is this the game for you! Take on the evil ORANGE flames with your chocolate rainbow of DEI fire thems! Spray the flames with your strong and independent estrogen gushing fire hoses! Break through glass windows with your axe just like how your department broke through the glass ceiling! Fly down the streets in your fire feminismmobile blaring its loud siren just like how vegans tell every one theyre vegan! Wipe out the flames of patriarchy as you carry injured victims (women first of course) out of the building! Extra points if you leave the wyte ones to burn! Jump into your high heel fire boots and experience what its like to be a Social Fire Warrior as you crush emergencies with the power of DEI! And remember recruit, ORANGE flame bad! For real though, despite the absolutely blatant and unapologetic ridiculous DEI bullsh*t in the game, if you can look past it (which you cant) the game is pretty fun, thats why I wont hit it with a thumbs down. You can tell some real research and love was put into this. I dont know why we cant have a game about being a firefighter that doesnt feel like you have to vote democrat just to play it, but here we are. All in all, im having fun with it.
The game itself is really well made. Physics feel very realistic. It´s fun to play, but with one exception; If you´re gaming by yourself you got the 3 AI models by your side, they´re absolute trash... Sometimes they got stuck or call for help or just stand outside of the building or in a room full of flames, and then, who could´ve guessed; a "Maday" call... I don´t get why they´re working on a dog in the firehouse if the basegame didn´t run as it should. But on the other hand it´s really fun to play with friends. You can also see the contamination from the dust in the smoke or the dirt around the missions. Driving feels a little weird, but not impossible to do. And if you want to, you can skip the driving and just spawn right at the incident. It would be nice if you could use the halligan to destroy windows, bc why not... Also it would take away a huge pain in the a** if you could store the halligan between your back and the scba, would make it even more fund imo. And the biggest wish I have is, that there should be other small random events if you´re in freeplay. Something like a burning trashbin or a vehicle fire, just for a change from the big calls
