Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
FireAlpaca SE is the exclusive paint software to Windows / Mac operating system that is widely suitable for beginners to advanced users.
We removed all the advertisements from FireAlpaca freeware version, that enables the faster performance and more stable environment.
1. New brush engine
Equipped with a brush editor that greatly enhances expressive power and flexibility,
enabling the following features:
Simultaneous synthesizing of 3 strokes (triple brush)
Clipping and masking of strokes
Flexible brush tip expression (combinations of circles, bitmap textures, and SVG paths)
Stipple function (Non-overlapping pointillism technique)
Enhanced watercolor parameter

Expressions Enabled by the New Brush Engine.
2. Enhanced Multi-Threading Support
By utilizing our proprietary multi-threading library and parallel allocator, FireAlpaca SE 3.0 fully harnesses many-core processors. Even with large canvases and multiple layers, drawing and transformations remain smooth, while background processes handle differential saving and automatic recovery in parallel. Memory usage is minimized, providing a stable and high-speed environment for long creative sessions. On professional-grade machines, this results in an even more responsive and efficient workflow.
3. New filter system"MFG(Modern Filter-language for GPU)"
It generates HLSL and MSL from the newly developed filter description language "MFG."
In the past, a complied library such as DLL needed to be added as a plug-in in order to add a filter. This method requires preparing a separate library per OS, however some OS doesn't allow to add such library. MFG generates the optimized shader order per OS by writing a filter in the dedicated language. From one source code (filter processing MFG code), it enables the filter processing by utilizing the GPU performance. Without requiring the developing environment, the high-speed processing filter can be developed and added.
4. New file format
In FireAlpaca SE 3.0, a newly designed standard image format has been adopted. It features complete multi-threading support for both reading and writing. As the differential saving allows for low-load and fast saving, it has achieved faster and more stable saving compared to the conventional saving formats.
In FireAlpaca SE 3.0, each ARGB channels have been expanded from the conventional 256 levels to 65,536 levels (when 16bit/ch mode is enabled). This allows for the faithful reproduction of fine gradients and subtle hues while minimizing degradation during color correction and filter application. It achieves a professional-grade color space that can withstand advanced retouching.
5. 16-bit Color Support & Gamma Correction
FireAlpaca SE 3.0 expands each ARGB color channel from 256 levels to 65,536 levels (when 16-bit/channel mode is enabled).
Preserve image quality during color correction and filter processing while achieving smoother gradients and more accurate color reproduction. With support for subtle tonal transitions and professional-grade color precision, FireAlpaca SE 3.0 is ready for advanced retouching and high-quality digital artwork.
6. Project
This feature is ideal for creating works that involve multiple pages or variations, such as manga, brochures, and illustration collections.
By using the ""Project"" feature, you can manage multiple related files together as a single set.
You no longer need to search around for files during your work, and switching between pages becomes smooth. Since the file structure and order are visible at a glance, progress management and revisions can be handled more efficiently.

I'm seeing some negative reviews on here saying that this program isn't worth your money when it is available for free online. I think those commenters are missing the point. Yes, the software IS available for free use online. That is why we SHOULD pay the devs for their time and effort if we enjoy the program. I have been using FireAlpaca since around 2021, racking up who knows how many hours. With every update, the program has consistently run more smoothly and gotten more user friendly. The program does have some limitations, particularly with it's animation tools. One thing I would really love to see is the ability to import audio files to the canvas when in animation mode. I don't normally write reviews on programs, but I wanted to thank the devs for making this and keeping it free to use! It was one of my first digital art programs, and I wouldn't have been able to learn as much as I have if I was trapped behind a paywall. Now that I'm older, I am happy to pay for it :))

I love Firealpaca. I've used it for years. I started on the free version before moving onto the paid one. And honestly? Not worth it. Yes I got whole lotta hours on it, but that doesn't really mean I'd recommend it. There are other options out there that are worth the price. Liquify tool and dark mode being behind a paywall is ridiculous. The program lags, can crash, lacks certain features other paid programs have, sometimes very annoying to use. I'll still continue to use it because I'm so familiar with it and is enough for my needs, but if you're thinking of switching from the free one to the paid one, don't. Look for alternatives. Do research into those than use this. Maybe when it's on sale, you can try it out and see if it's for you.
I've been drawing with the free version for a long time now so I thought I'd try out this version. It is definitely improved in parts, I like the brushes and stuff but it has crashed multiple times regularly during my time using it, and after crashing like three times it just doesn't save my progress. Tried to launch my backup save but it did not work, I'm honestly upset because I had like 90% of my drawing finished when it crashed AGAIN and I lost everything. I know I'm foolish to not automatically save everything all the time, but I never had these issues with the free version nor any other apps. Shame cuz I really liked it honestly.
If you want to SUPPORT the devs, I think it's all fair to buy this, But this is not worth the price. At all. The dark mode sucks, Its not very dark, and quite ugly. It adds a couple new brushes, big whoop, None particularly that interesting. I personally don't like the change in file-type, Just seems not needed. Its truthfully, TRUTHFULLY different from the free version by an Incredibly small margin, save your money and buy clip studio paint. I hate to be so critical as I've used (And enjoyed) Firealpaca's free version for sometime, but I really expected this to blow my mind, and Its just, not anything to write home about at all.
I've been using FireAlpaca for nearly a decade at this point (mostly the free version) and it is, simply put, one of the best free/low cost drawing software programs around. This version is quite similar to the free version, but with no initial pop-up ad and an optional darkmode which is very useful for me as I am prone to migraines. Generally I would reccomend either version of FireAlpaca as a solid, reliable and lightweight drawing program, especially ideal for students and young artists but also a solid choice for mature digital artists. The steam version is essentially a way to pay the devs for their hard work and I completely respect it for that. For a single payment of 30 GBP it is still cheaper than most professional art programs and it is probably equal in quality.
FireAlpaca SE is a solid, promising digital art software. The multi-threading support is easily its standout feature, making canvas responsiveness and overall rendering speed feel smooth during regular use. However, there are a few workflow bottlenecks and performance issues holding it back during larger projects.. 1. Dedicated Blur & Smudge Tools Needed: While you can assign blur and smudge functions to brushes, having to search through a brush list during a heavy project slows down momentum. Dedicated toolbar options—or at least the ability to assign direct custom keyboard shortcuts to specific essential brushes—would make the workflow much faster and more time-efficient. 2. Layer Lag & Heavy File Instability: When working on complex projects with a high layer count, the UI begins to lag significantly when interacting with layers. On occasion, this lag causes the software to crash, leading to lost momentum.. Suggestions for Future Updates: Optimize layer handling and memory management for heavy, multi-layer documents to fix the lag and prevent sudden crashes. Introduce dedicated Blur and Smudge tools on the main toolbar of let user add custom hotkey support for individual brush.
Great drawing software! I've been using the free version for a long time and eventually decided to buy this, I would recommend anyone interested to have tried the free version enough to know if they like it before buying this. My one problem is that it doesn't save my antialiasing settings when I close it, I have to turn antialiasing back off every time I open it (along with changing transform to "jaggies" every time).
yes i can finally support the devs
easy to use and my favorite software for drawing
