Nothing relaxing or fun about this. The music is nice, but the fire interaction is truly abysmal. What a waste of time and I only played 10 minutes..
This game does exactly what it promises. You build a fire and tend to it while you do other stuff in your life. The only real problem I couldn't find a solution to was I always had some tool in my hand and when I am not tending to the fire I would want it to be empty. Pretty good game and had some really banger places to build the fire in.
Not for me
Fire place, has you when you make a fire. Not worth 5 dollars, but yeah.
Just go outside.
Bought it in the sale and am very positively surprised. It is a simple but nice game with pleasant background music. After figuring out how to light the fire and keep it going, it's perfect for chilling while working on the main computer. Now and then add some wood and listen to the crackling of the fire.
I liked the scenes and the music for this game. But there was no fire? I turned up the speed and I could see my logs were getting consumed, but no fire actually showed. That seems like kinda the point?
as soon as you understand how to play its a really relaxing game. just..light the fire and let it burn
Fire Place is a simple environment simulator where you are given a small number of tools (matches, paper, wood, a poker and some tongs) and you can, if you want, arrange them to start and maintain a fire. If you want. There's no actual goal to this, it's a pure sandpit about the size of a shotglass. And that's really the problem, it's not a game in the traditional sense. Maybe the developer was hoping this could be considered "art" instead of a game, or hoped to get sales just from the "controversy" of putting something that isn't a game onto Steam. They did put it into game bundles, so I guess that's something. Anyway, this isn't a game, so it can't be recommended, especially not for a crazy $5 USD.
