About
Welcome to Finnish Cottage 8, a classic summer cottage in the woods so peaceful you’d never want to leave!
Finnish Cottage 8 is a walking simulator set in a mökki (summer cottage), a beloved staple of Finnish summer life. Equipped with an obligatory sauna and a classic Finnish weather forecast radio program, this game will transport you to the tranquility of summer in the Land of A Thousand Lakes.

But in this cottage, something sinister stirs where your eyes don't reach.
Observe carefully and you may find your way out.
The bad news is, you are not the first to attempt an escape...
The good news is, you are not the first to attempt an escape!
A secret organisation has been investigating this cottage, and their efforts left behind certain convenient tools. This laptop will help you identify which loop you are in.

If you see an anomaly, leave through the back door (marked with "Anomalies" tape).
If you don’t see an anomaly, leave through the front door.
If you are right, the loop number goes up by 1.
If you are wrong, you’ll return to Loop 0.
Once the number reaches 8, the cottage may let you go....

i was steaming ur game my viewers keep telling me that the radio was annoying i just want to tel u IT WAS REALLY ANNOYING but thank u fot the game xoxoxo
Played this game through in 1.5h! Got it as a gift, not something I usually play. There were still some anomalies left to see, so I will play this again when I gain the courage. I don't usually play scary games, and i've never played a spot the difference -game, but this was actually a nice balance of spooky and fun. It's well made and I enjoyed looking for the differences. And that poor man, who had to read the weather forecast over and over again in the radio, poor lad. Also RIP Timo.

Very enjoyable game that puts your attentiveness to detail to test! Really spooks you at least for a few times. It would be great if we could get more levels in the future, I would love to play more!
This is an absolutely fantastic, clever anomaly spotting horror game with innovative mechanics and a storyline. It has not long released on console either for those wanting to play it on there. If you’re used to anomaly spotting games, forget everything you know as this game does anomaly spotting very differently but it doesn’t take long to figure out what’s an anomaly and what’s not. Most of the anomalies advance the storyline and give you more insight into who you are and the inhabitants of the cottage. Such a clever game. I only wish it was a bit longer. Pros - Very clever, innovative take on anomaly spotting - Clear story that is told through the anomalies - Fantastic design on the cabins Cons - A little short, I wanted more! Overall Rating: 8/10
A short, decent anomaly horror game. The visuals look good, and the anomalies range from obvious through to much more subtle and challenging to spot. There is also an underlying story for you to piece together as well. So in short, if you like Exit 8-style anomaly games, then Finnish Cottage 8 is definitely recommended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcJIW8EIR5k
It is my first cottage anomaly game, and I enjoyed it a lot. The atmosphere is rather relaxed with some anomalies bringing up a laugh thanks to their creativity and placement. The Finnish vibe of a dark cottage is well communicated and is a great highlight of this game. It would be nice if the radio could play some different programs or music during the game. However, after a few rounds it turns into a comforting white noise. Some of the anomalies are hard to spot, some are extremely easy. I managed to fail twice on the seventh round although getting there was quick.
ah yes classical midsummer midnight cottage stuff
Solid anomaly game!
A really well made game. This game made me doubt things that didn't even change and made me feel like i was losing my mind. 10/10 i recommend.
Interesting setting, good clearing speed, nice mix of obvious and subtle anomalies.
