*spoilers* I suppose I can add this game to my list of "short indie horror games about child abuse*. It's a surprisingly long list - or maybe not that surprising after all. That said, even if civilization is gone, and you truly believe that societal rules and mores are all fictions, why the ♥♥♥♥ would you do that?!
First of all, my favourite kind of game is a free or cheap game so I come into this liking it already. I liked that the story can be pieced together with minor visual effects and that it encourages imagination. However, there are those who are unable to read or seriously engage with a story that does not involve an fps game or sports game built around it. If you can not read, do not play this game. Do not play this game if you do not have the patience to read a few sentences. And yes, expect to be unsettled slightly while playing a game like this. I say this because I have seen some negative reviews from individuals that simply can not read. A certain 'Pear' could not read the note on the table in the middle of the room, in order to find the name for the code. please, only engage with this game if you can read. the game is good, the reviews... not so much. would recommend playing.

The game advertises itself as a psychological horror game, but you could be disappointed to find it is simply just a walking sim with less emphasis on horror and more on shocking you. I really like the disturbing lore behind this game. I won't go in detail because you need to play it yourself. The game can be beaten in 20 mins and that is enough because the subject material is what it is. Fingerbones proves that even the less perfect David Szymanski games can offer something interesting.
I've apparently had this game in my library for 10 years. I finally played it today and ....yeah that was a game...I think? Wander around a bunker, read notes, enter codes into a keyboard, think the sound was an error noise and look up a video until I realized it was a 'code accepted' noise. Keep playing and then finish. I wouldnt really recommend this, but also it is free and I think his first game? so its fine
short, atmospheric, haunting, sad...
just... No. Ok? Just no...
