Absolute Rubbish Game. First they take Millions of $ from people for another game they have still not delivered or refunded as promised. Then they announce a new game and release this total trash of a game. They should be ashamed of their Disgraceful conduct and ethics they openly flaunt. This game looks and plays beyond bad. My advice is do not trust. Nothing to stop them abandoning this Bad game when another money milking opportunity comes their way.
Since I loooove MOBA-like games, especially Paladins and Smite as well as other co-op games such as L4D2, Killing Floor 2 and my current favorite Back4Blood - I saw this new game and decided to give it a try. After trying it out in both the tutorial and the main game types (it took me about 40 minutes to do everything) I think I will ask for refund. I understand that its an Early Access game in development, and it's not the first time I buy the games in Early Access (for example I also got Baldur's Gate 3, which is pretty enjoyable even though its still in Early Access), but it absolutely not worth the $20 for me in its current form. - The game is extremely simplistic, with champions having the 3 basic cooldowns in an addition to 2 basic attacks but without any customizations, aside from 5 consumable items you can pick up by shooting chests (items like deployable walls or damage bombs or traps) - There is only a single map now, and only 5 champions/heroes/gods/whatever - The game has a mix of human voiced text as well as horrible text-to-speech text which becomes unbearable to listen to after a while, especially with all the cringe jokes you get to listen to - The AI is pretty dumb and doesn't use any strategy other than "overwhelm you with numbers" - The performance is not very good, even with FPS staying above 100 there are random hitches of unknown origin, this shouldn't be happening on my system with AMD 5800x, 3070ti, 32GB of RAM and Samsung 970 evo NVME SSD which runs all the other games perfectly, including other "Early Access" games - NOBODY IS PLAYING IT NOW, I spent 3 minutes in queue after which the game started with only me playing, without any other human teammates and without game providing me with AI teammates. I understand its a new game but I don't wanna waste $20 on hoping that some day I might (or might not) get enough human teammates at the time of the day that is convenient to me. - the User Interface and menus and other text does not scale with resolution, I have 4k monitor, the text looks extremely small at native resolution - There is a very limited amount of graphics settings in current version and all of them already maxed out, but even with all of them maxed out the graphical quality of the game is pretty poor compared to similar games like Paladins and Smite (I know it's not something many people care about but this is important to me, especially when it comes to customizing my characters with skins). Long story short, this game is absolutely not worth $20, especially when you have similar games like Paladins/Smite available for FREE already, with much more content including PvP (something this game does not have and looks like it never will) in an addition to co-op PvE. If u wanna give it a try - wait for it to go f2p while enjoying existing alternatives.

As I said when I refunded: "This game is too early for Early Access. The Developers need to pull this and be patient.
This game is currently a proof of concept more than anything, in fact it's barely even that since a actual gameplay loop is missing(how?..) Start match > Kill things > Get upgrades/usables during the match > match ends > Nothing gained aside from some leaderboard stat. There is currently 1 map & 5 characters for the player to explore, each character has 3 skills and very floaty animations, camera feels terrible and it's clear it's all very poorly pasted together. There's a lot of praise for this Unchained Engine that supposably makes it possible to have 1000s of entities on screen, but performance doesn't live up to the praise. I was intrigued by another game of this studio but if this is the development standard, then I fear for the worst. Won't recommend, won't change it in the future either as the stage this current game is in, you should be paying people to playtest it outside of family and friends for more onhands feedback if the bare basics even make sense.
There is no player base for this game. It looked fun so I wanted to try it. Tried to join a match, ended up being in the game alone. Checked Steam Charts and only 2 players were online in Steam.
The idea of a stand-alone game spawning from an MMORPG development process is something that was tried by Intrepid Studios back with Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse when they released a 100 man Battle Royale. While the idea of having a BR for combat development & testing environment as well as being as stand alone game was odd when they did it, I can see how it could be useful. Ashes of Creation was intended to have a second mode called Horde Mode, which would have been a PvE Setting. That PvE setting was something new and unique and something I think that Final Stand: Ragnarök was almost able to reach. I could see Final Stand: Ragnarök as a great marketing tool for Camelot Unchained except, why did we suddenly go to Norse Pantheon? Camelot Unchained is a unique IP, and it could have easily transferred from the MMORPG into the same battle mode they are making here. Could have very easily had the Arthurians as the playable characters and the Tuatha and the Vikings as the enemies. Could have introduced players to the classes and ideas that they would see in CU through this mode. The Bad about this mode: There are very few people playing it. In 7 matches today, I had a fellow player in one of them. The rest, I was basically soloing the content. It looks so much like a cash grab. $19.99 for this seems like a "we are out of funding" panic button. Coupled with the fact there is a shop, and a battle pass "coming soon" It seems this was a crank to churn out more money. The Good Having only played the classes independently I cannot be sure of this, but it appears that the 5 classes are built to compliment each other nicely. The tank really felt like a tank The damage dealers all had different roles from mass chowder clean up to single target killing elite/named mobs The two modes I saw were well done. Hard to judge playing most rounds single player, but they were well done. I could see this game being good and fun if there was a playerbase, but as it is right the box price is cost prohibitive. Even without much tweaking or tuning, this game could see success if it went F2P but locked character progression behind a box price. For those that haven't seen it, your character does level and gets access to new things. I could see that part being locked behind the box price, and then the season pass and shop could help augment income to cover server costs. They also would have the opportunity to get people hooked into CU if there were rewards in the battle pass that gave you cosmetics in the MMORPG and even a limited amount of sub time. If you throw 3 to 5 days sub time on the free path of the battle pass for level 50, and then turn that into say 10 days on the battle pass, You'd probably get people buying the battle pass to have fun messing around with it just to stack some sub time for CU launch. Sadly at this time, I can't recommend the game, but I think with just a few twists and turns, tucks and wedges this game could be a distraction for F2P players and an investment for CU fans who are waiting.
Probably better off burning 20 dollars but I had to see the dumpster fire because a random event triggered DAOC and camelot unchained memories which lead me down this path. It's not good, it's actually really bad. I cannot believe this was released and that's being nice about it. This isn't early access, this is a coffin that shouldn't be exhumed.
Wanted to check this out after reading about it on Massivelyop. Honestly it'd be fun if you have a few people to queue with and it ran pretty well but the $20 entry fee on top of literally no one playing... idk. The game has some potential but it's a bit too early for me right now. Ran into one small bug playing in windowed mode, when I died the camera wouldn't move, but nothing too bad.
Pros:

+ I like the concept of the royale waves. Very cool.
+ Pretty good artwork that comprises the game also, but you can tell that's where the main focus of the early release went to...
- Being that it's Early Release, you get somewhat of a pass in leniency.
+ The map swap - or game layout changes per battle, which is pretty interesting, but there's nothing that explains it beyond the obnoxious monologue-ing that happens in the background, but doesn't really explain what needs to happen or what's expected.

Cons:

- The starting game is not worth $20 — by any stretch of the imagination... maybe $10-15 for Early Release.
- The Servers are either empty from no one playing the game because it's new, or they're empty because there are server issues.
-- I was the only one in the first game (assassin) and ran through the first wave and died in the second because there's just not enough damage output as a solo player, and no one to help, obviously...
-- The second game I played, I was the barbarian. The game abruptly ended and I literally have no idea why, it just said that I failed after [Looking for Server] in the corner of the game, while I was in Wave 2 ... and then did not give me any XP for playing ... instant game killer.
- There isn't enough mobs at once to get enough strength buffs to be able to take on several heavy-hitting mobs at once.
- The character mobility is lacking. When you're swarmed with heavies and can't do enough damage to kill or knock them back, you just melt.
The ps1 wants its game back. In all honesty warframe, Destiny, and even Alien Swarm do whatever this game does but better. The games I mentioned are also free. This game will charge you 20 dollars. This game isn't it.
