FINAL FANTASY® XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition

I have about 1600 days of playtime over the life of this game, though I use another launcher so my hours aren't calculated here. For a solo player, it's worth experiencing some of the expansions and messing about however you won't make it very far.; it's still very much a socialization game where you should aim to have at least 3 able bodies to experience most gear-progression content. I would recommend just enjoying the story of the expansions and experiencing the classes and combat in this game which still remain among the best implementations in the entire franchise--this can all be done solo. Skip Abyssea if you can, because it's awful, Seekers of Adoulin and The Voracious Resurgence are also terrible, some of the worst expansions I've ever experienced in a video game. Equally as bad as Burning Crusade and Dawntrail. Do not play them under any circumstances.

Great game but the controls/menus and the navigation are very janky, hopefully one day we get a faithful remaster/remake, this game needs it more than FFXIV. It's hard to recommend to modern gamers but it definitely has a certain magic about it, it's worth trying.

a great adventure on many levels from the combat(many professions) to the crafting.

similar to WoW Classic in a way. takes forever to do anything and the quests are really vague, but i kinda love it. very good game to chill out to and put something on a second monitor. keep in mind though its really old (even older than wow) so a lot of the convenience of modern MMOs isnt here at all. if you care about that, i wouldnt play ff11, 14 might be better if you havent played that yet. the ffxi wiki has a really good new player guide that helps a lot: https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/New_Player_Leveling_Guide
