Fun game for VR. Third person point of view while flying. You have a God like overview of the airport, then you look at the plane you want to fly and press a button to control it. Much like the Final Approach game, but you play seated with a controller.
Got Pilot Edition free as part of a package. The Final Approach game is really fun, but the Pilot Edition made me really sick. I haven't played it since.
Brutalna hra.
love the final approach game but having difficulty piloting the aircraft in the pilot edition, did buy a steam controller but am unable to steer up/down correctly, any suggestions? For the rest very funny. Utrecht@The Netherlands
The Normal edition did not work right for me (Rift User) It had me positioned like 5 feet in front of the desk and i could not do any thing to reset my position. The option in settings was greyed out and i couldn't select it.So the game was completely unplayable. How ever The pilot edition worked just fine. Which was fine as I'd rather use the 360 controller any way for this type of game but be warned for those Rift users who do not have the 360 controller. On to the game then The game is a blast. I beat it in 2 days and took me 5.5 hours, Though the last two missions are not playable yet. Not sure when they are coming. The game play is basically you running a air port in a sim style game play. You will land planes, fix them , put out fires, have to fix other things, toss laugage, shoot down planes and UFO's and many other things. It gives you a lot to do. The look and feel of the game is one of the best i have played in VR outside of Skyrim VR. I feel like a big kid in a huge room with all thnese toys just mioviong around. Its really a amazing feeling and put me in a sense of awe at times and i have been playing VR now for a year and a half and that wow factor doesnt hit you much any more after experiancing it for that amount of time. Outside of what i first listed i dont have to many issues with the game but one of my other biggest would be if you fail you have to start the whole mission over again. Check points would be nice . there are 2 or 3 parts that get tough and it sucks having to run through another 10 minutes of gamew play to get to that one part you failed. only bug i noticed is on the Big airpot map the one helicopter landing pad next to where the air force jets park will send your chopper under ground and blow up some times when you try to tell it to take off. Other then that really enjoyable game and I'll probably run through it some more.
Давненько я так не залипал... Игра под оба вида контроллеров vive и gamepad - это отлично. Кому нравятся самолётики -- брать обязательно
I greatly enjoy the original Final Approach, and can appreciate what the dev did here - getting players more “into the world” by actually piloting the little planes. Great idea! That being said, I can’t quite get good control when in pilot mode – and the default camera mode is disorienting. I personally prefer the original Final Approach, which is a fantastic use of room scale and tracked motion controllers. But, seeing as the two come bundled together at no additional cost, I can’t mad. Thumbs: UP!
I think the people who say they get sick are just saying that just to bash the game. I think when ever a vr game comes out and it's not fpv people just write it off. Ultra wings, well fun, gets me sick at a point; this game dose not. I really don't understand all the hate. Do you like model planes and dioramas? As a kid did you have a toy planes that you would run around the house flying going "vroom" Are you at the age where it may seem a bit ridiculous to play with toys but you wish you could? Now you can with Final Approach pilot edition! After a 10 hour shift on your feet all day and you just want to come home and play an ez going fun and relaxing video game, well this my friend is it. I can't tell you how much I liked the game before but I didn't play it that much because you had to stand grab the plane tell it where to go. With this pilot edition it just makes it so much more fun. If you are just a fpv nut then stay away I guess but don't give it a thumbs down it really is a good game that will appeal to gamer's who like 3rd person vr.
