So i tried to play the game, i was able to begin the game like intended started trying to make a movie with the screen play you are given. was able to get a producer, set the budget and the time frame. but once i got to the Actors. i was able to assign one actor and then nothing else. i was stuck in that menu until I force quit the game. I tried twice and same results. so as of now even though the game is free i would not recommend untill some improvements can be done to at least ensure a gameplay experience.
ATM, this is not playable. Good concept, looks good. But this is not playable. Dont work, HELLA buggy

This game has one of the best UI among the other movie management games. If only the game could be played. The game is full of bugs. Can't even make a single movie. This has very good potential. Hope the makers update soon. I'm waiting to replay this.
I do not recommend it. Even if you overlook the bugs, partially broken stats, and nonsense like hiring a three-year-old director, as a player I feel extremely disconnected from what's happening on the screen. For one thing, the progression of time is a mechanic in itself. Either you do something or you watch the days go by. The latter is more than 90% of the gameplay. Second, it's the lack of valuable information. The fact that Studio X has released a movie is basically meaningless unless I'm shown at least the title of the movie. Everything feels very static and on rails. For example, in every one of my productions so far, the exact same events have happened in the exact same order. Movies don't roll in weekly revenue, they're calculated one-offs, and most of the news is, depressingly, that someone died. I can't tell if this is affecting my productions or my audience. That information is not shared with me. So, completely detached from the game world, you produce your movies, which are either box office hits or flops, without any emotional involvement. Even if I personally don't like it, I think it would be unfair to give a negative rating to a free game that is generally playable. Here I would like to have the option of a neutral rating.
"Film Studio Manager" is an abandoned Early Access tycoon game with one massive difference... the developer didn't seem to think video games need graphics. Unfortunately, gaming is a visual medium, and while anyone can argue "gameplay is important", visual and technical presentation is, too. And this is not just something I'm making up... take a look at the top 1,000 games on Steam and count how many of them are text adventures. None? I don't make the rules, I just report on the outcomes. The developer abandoned this about 20 months ago, it will never be completed. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 15 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
