I was over the moon since I love their games and usually the game I play by them are amazing - with the exception of the DLC's, not afan of that sell tactic/cash grab. In case you don't know, to get all the endings in a HOG you need to purchase the $3.99 DLC, if not you may only get the somewhat bad ending and the mid ending but never the 100% good ending. Unless… you purchase the $3.99 or $2.99 DLC. Aside from that, I've enjoyed every single one I've played… until this one. I won't sugar coat it, it's bad. Starting with the limited settings, the fast paced and rushed intro followed by what just seems like a tropical asset dump. The Hidden Object scenes leave muc to be desired, the items selected are very tiny and some just blend too much with the colorful scene. Some of the mini games have you figure out what you need to do or figure out where they want you to place an object that could go in multiple places. The mix of real and somewhat animated characters make it so disturbingly uncanny, pure uncanny valley, so much so that it was really hard to get through the dialogue scenes without trying to shake it off. As far as difficulty, I played it first in Hard mode then in easy, and I honestly did not see a big difference. They were both about the same- somewhere in the middle- not easy not hard just frustrating. It wasn't a fun experience and I was so disappointed. Having a trail of great hidden object games even some mid ones per other users I still found entertainnig then having the first one I receive from them be a bad review was very disheartening. I wanted it to be good. I wanted it to redeem itself so bad because I didn't want write a bad review, but I wasn't going to write a good one just for the sake of appeasing a developer I really like. (Except for the DLC's). So unfortunately, I can't recommend this game, not even on sale. But I encourage you to try others in their library. Both story rich and not so rich, most are entertaining, at least in my experience. One out of many won't drive me away nor give up on their games. I usually do a video, but posting this up on my YouTube channel would be a big disservice to my viewers and my channel.
