"...condenação e redenção, morte e renascimento, é um canto de amor num campo de batalha, ou um grito de guerra num campo de amor." FateWord: Redemption
The word I got is: Redemption
Fated Word: Redemption
Fated Word: Redemption After all, Markus is a good man at heart and knows his shortcomings well. He deserves to be redeemed.
I've become obsessed with playing these games. Its interesting looking at life from different perspectives and gives me a chance to ponder choices and actively choose better paths. i know its a game but... it helps a lot. My word was "Redemption", and thank you... i actually believe it :) - LEO
Fated Word: Redemption Ah, I think this was the sweetest game so far. Well, maybe with the exception of the Familiar one, but who could resist that particular game anyhow? Certainly not me. :-D (Though I am still slightly pouting over my result. Part of the fun though, haha!) Anyhow, I loved that this game allowed us to ask questions for once! What a delight! Highly recommend this, made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside at the result. <3 Also great way to appreciate Markus in my humble opinion!
Fated word: Redemption It was fun being the one asking questions, what an interesting project! I'm curious to play the future episodes.
I'm very endeared to this concept. I'm not used to the idea of being the one asking the questions, and sometimes it puts me in a tough spot trying to determine what is the best question to ask. I often leaned towards prying in ways that get someone to reveal the very worst of themselves as well as where their values lie. Markus is a fascinating character to me. A little full of himself, unaware of his own faults, overcharged someone in desperate need of aid, deeply spiteful of his uncle (though perhaps justified?). Despite this, he has a good grasp on how the events of his life shape the person he is. He is a man with a tender heart full of love and compassion, despite his flaws. His biggest regret lies in the realm of compassion and that endeared me. When I made my final decision, I wasn't entirely sure what would happen. I was worried at first that to give him a good fate, it might cost another theirs. When I saw him act with fervent, I was hopeful. I wanted to see him do what he could not before. When it looked like he gave up, I was worried he had squandered his opportunity and I would have lead a man to death for nothing. When he succeeded though, he exceeded all expectations. He found his own redemption in saving someone from the disease that killed his father, and I found his redemption in the way he continued to give to his community. Seeing the way he chose to live after being given his good fortune inspired such a hope in me, and I am overjoyed to have witnessed it. This game was thought provoking in a way different from The Test series of games, but I very much enjoyed it. I'm sure you know already, my secret word is Redemption. I truly believe he earned it.
The Fateweaver series takes the tried and true Randumb games formula and flips it on its head. Instead of asking the player a series of questions and giving a reading the game has the player ask the questions and pass judgement on the soul of the protagonist. It's a different experience having the burden of choice instead of just answering honestly and I had a lot of fun getting to know Markus. This is first of fifty-two planned titles and I'm excited to see the host of characters that emerge from this series. Secret Word: Redemption Below is the fate I chose for Markus and why, so if you haven't played the game yet please don't spoil yourself.
I choose to weave a "blessed" fate for Markus. Tho he had some red flags with his tendency to get in his own head and would turn to his cups, his resolve to restore his Father's legacy and drive to be be best pulled him back to reality. He convinced me that he genuinely wanted to do the right thing and would work to make the world a better place. To admit some bias I saw bits of myself in Markus as I also aspires to be the best at what I do, am a workaholic, and have the tendency to lose myself in a vice when I lose sight of my goals. One thing I was hoping when I wove Markus's fate was that I would be able to influence the outcome in some way, I had designs of getting Markus to find fulfillment outside of alchemy but overall I was happy with my decision and Markus re payed my trust and favor when he named the new medicine after me showing he understood where his fortune had come from.
Fated Word: Redemption Being the one to ask questions and decide the fate of the character is a really interesting idea. Though I feel like the questions seem to repeat but in different wordings. Didn't change the fact that I enjoyed myself. I have a feeling that everyone will have a good ending...I'm just too nice! xD
