few good ideas and the music is cool, but the game itself is boring. no exciting loot, no exciting builds, no fun characters, no fun battles, and the map isnt fun to explore, it's all too boring and plays like a chore. I lost the objective in some of the ingame labyrinths and didnt finish the game.
Definitely worth experiencing. Does a lot of things that are entirely unique, and nails them first try. And even if it wasn't that unique, it's a nice adventure the whole way through.
👍
Was trying to ignore the bad pixel graphics i tend to want more art in my pixel games. Wasn't really for me too blocky. And feel too locked into the story line. I wanted a more open world free from shackles experience so im refunding.
I have been stumbling around in this game for hours. I have close to no idea whats going on and honestly I don't really care. The game lets me just run around, experiment with spell or object interactions and click on random things, and I still somehow progress through the game. Truly unique experience. 10/10 would recommend
https://youtu.be/mWYpzkVp0cc Offering an unique set of play with gametime linked to player action it doesn't lock into place in a satisfying way due to the unpredictability of the environment.
This game is INSANELY overlooked. A unique battle system, open world with lots to discover, and many quests with different solutions and consequences. I'm shocked by the low number of reviews considering the quality on offer here.
Really fun game with a lot of love put in by the devs :) + the story is really good! wish more indie games like this could pop off
I bought this game due to the time-stop mechanic. I thought it would be a cool pseudo turn-based RPG that I could chill-with and rest my hands after working on the computer during the day. Then I realize not only movement is WASD-based but also that clicking doesn't move you to the clicked-tile but instead steps once on the mouse's direction, requiring you to hold the mouse to move any-distance! Not only I gave-up on better-games like Ultima 6 and Xulima because of that asinine control-scheme that is anathema to almost 3-decades of over-whelming isometric-RPG design common-sense (from Diablo to Baldur's Gate to Fallout) but it is also the opposite of what I bought this game for! No, I do not want to hold the mouse and develop carpal-tunnel to move for 20 hours each play-through! You couldn't pay-me a million-dollars to permanently-hurt my hand like that! No, I do not want to play with WASD on a lap-top and touch-pad set-up, are you joking?! No, I did not buy this retro-looking 200 uncompressed mega-bytes game to play on my full gaming-setup, you better believe I'm gonna be playing better-titles if I'm gonna be sinking a couple-hours in a proper gaming-session! Other than that, the text is tiny on a 720-pixels lap-top screen with no scaling-slider that I fully-expect from a game being-sold for 15-euros in 2025 which lists no minimum display-requirements in its store-page! Also I don't often say the music in games is bad, especially because I don't mind muting the music and playing my-own if needs be but the music in this game is actually bad. It has that feeling of "MIDI music being played in a different sound-card than intended" that I have not come-across once since the 90s! You can get a feel for that from the Steam-trailer music: the mixing is off; the sound-fonts don't match; the composition is uninspired. Mean-while Under-tale is being sold for less than half the asking price here! I'd love to give this game an earnest-try at 95%-off for one play-through but this package is so not-worth the asking-price as it stands!
Not everything is for the best at any level but all in all a solid "kinda turn based" RPG experience. The UI especially is often failing the player - keyboard shortcut mostly useless (in the game designer's defense, the core of the gameplay is to juggle with 30 spells at all time but this is nothing experienced WOW player can't manage in a much better way than this. Quest markers don't immediately disappear and are somewhat imprecise. Games doesn't tell you if you have line of sight which is how you lost 80% of your HP. Also some balance issue, at least in normal mode flying minions are completely OP. The story is by no means impressive but it's certainly not bad either. Art is pretty weak (as well as music) but it's not grating (well I did lower the music volume pretty quick). Reading this you'd think I mean it's below average but it's rather good. It does what's on the label very well. Big map to explore, cool spells to toy with. I wanted that itch scratched and it certainly scratched at a faire price (on a sale). If you're like me, well, I am happy with buying and playing it.
