Dire poison. Short, bitterly so. Very little control or interaction. Terrible slow movement speed. A negligible story that at first looks promising but then goes nowhere and ends with a whimper. I didn't even really want to write this review but I really wanted to be able to thumbs down this glorified tech demo. Save your money.
bought the game as part of a bundle, doesn't move past the calibration screen. Definitely must avoid
A fantastic narrative VR experience, marred only a little by sill controls.
Wow, now this was a cool experience. Not sure you nodding yes or no actually changes anything other than maybe dialogue, and combat aside from hunting would have been cool but the atmosphere and scenarios were fantastic. The ending sets up a further story that they were planning for but not sure they will ever release. This is a fantastic experience that NEEDS a sequel!
Normally i can play in VR for hours, in Fated after 30min my eyes got really tired. Now when i want to start it it crashes. Nice graphics, although characters are kinda stiff I'd like an mmo with graphics like that.
This is a VR, SEATED, GAMEPAD experience. Some people seem to have missed that. At $10, or less on sale, this is a nice short experience. Graphics are very nice. It's not too challenging, more of a proof of concept type game, would love to see a longer game (with full Vive roomscale), in this world.
Bad ending and requires xbox controller to play
No idea if it's good or not. Got stuck on a 'Press the view button to calibrate' screen and no amount of button presses ever moves past it. Seems I'm not alone when it comes to this problem and the devs seem to have abandoned it seeing as how they never respond to the question so cannot reccomend it.
not ok on quest 2
One of the fantastic experiences in VR still playable and fun in 2022. This game is from 2016, perhaps it might have been developed before, at Oculus DK times. Because, touch controllers are not supported, even though it is first person view and based on full body presence. Sounds weird, right? You control your hands with a gamepad and a head-based pointer. And actually, it works well once you accept that it is ok. After all, how could we complain when everything works fine and if they did this game in the very early days of vr? By the way, these mechanics reminded me of Ascent Spirit VR, which would make way more sense if touch controllers were supported. So, it is not alone :) Walking is so slow. Luckily, there is no need to rush since you can be busy with enjoying the beautiful art style. The textures seem beautifully crafted and hand-painted. The gameplay is very easy. Unfortunately, the content is very small in terms of gameplay. I liked the horse carriage driving part the most. Beside, there are a few small puzzles, a few platforming, and a few bow shooting for like, less than a tutorial length. So, it is mostly an experience based on a story. For me, it is more for enjoying the visual art style in VR. The story is always not as cute as its visual style. It is not a complete melancholic story though, but it has some tragic moments based on losses. I think it deserves a better end or continuation.
