Feels more like moderately fast & calm. Pretty shallow racer without much flair that visually looks impressive but in terms of gameplay falls flat tire. Definitely not recommended unless you want to watch some good looking tracks and that's it. Gameplay is boring and you can't wait to finish the race. Controls are very stiff unless you start to drift which doesn't feel any good. As you drive you fill up ability gauge which is used to activate one of skills. No environmental destruction, no car damage. Overall very dull racing game.
Jogue com um Toretto que ainda tem cabelo
Hot garbage, even for Outright Games, the premier maker of bad licensed games. Not even watching Arrested Development while playing could make this trash palatable. This should've never been published.
Really short F&F title based on show on high difficulty kinda challenging and fun to play at least that few hrs before finishing single player mode, multiplayer is dead obviously but when you grab this game in sales def worth playing it
Meu filho é apaixonado por esse desenho! Comprei pra jogar com ele e foi uma experiência incrível, até que ele começou a jogar melhor que eu e ficou de castigo.
100% Completionist Review
(∩^o^)⊃━゚.・。゚ I really dislike giving negative feedback, but considering this game costs EUR 40 plus additional DLC for roughly 4 hours of total content, it’s hard to recommend based on its quality. I got this game in a "couch coop family game bundle" but even my relatives and friends had no intention to play it during our game nights as there are plenty more similar arcade racers which deliver far more fun and value. I understand that this game is for kids based on F&F cartoon series, so there are no 'big explosions' and I did not even "want" that. But the game still felt hollow overall. Honestly, I only pushed through to finish it because I was "Fast & Curious."
+ Positive +
- The visuals are decent - cars have different effects, the maps are diverse both visually and structurally - The soundtrack has some enjoyable vibes for the races - 'Family friendly' - as even the explosions are 'paintballs' or disco lights etc.
- Negative -
- I had no sound AT ALL for ANY dialogues in the game. I assumed it is due to budget constraints, but it turned out this was some kind of unresolved bug. I ended up ignoring it since the story is nearly irrelevant, aside from naming a "defeatable foe" for each race. - I could play splitscreen with 2 controllers only (could not select both KBM+a controller, and I am not even sure if it is compatible with 4 players total for local play) - High price for lack of content I’d only recommend this game to hardcore fans of the Fast & Furious: Spy Racers series or achievement hunters, as it’s an easy grind - but only during huge sales. Overall Rating: 3/10
Alright, buckle up for a crash course in disappointment with;
Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rise of SH1FT3R
"Spy Racers" attempts to translate the animated series(yes there's a TV show with an exact game) into a racing game, and it fails spectacularly. It's a shallow, uninspired experience that feels rushed and devoid of any genuine excitement. Imagine a mobile game trying to imitate a console racer, and you're halfway not there.
Story:
Let's say this game is made for kids, which is understandable given the funny-looking characters and their sponsors to make this game happen right? So may I ask why you couldn't get VA for heroes around the most cutscene? Did you really expect all kids to read it? Even I got bored after the 2nd mission I started skipping...So no, I believe the only story we can get is by watching the show which I won't do as I don't like the F&F series.
Game Mechanics:
Was there any tho? 🤔 •Basic Racing: You drive, you boost, you "spy gadget" (which is mostly just weak colour bombs). •Repetitive Tracks: Bland, uninspired track design that feels like it was thrown together in minutes. •Simple Gadgets: Gadgets are uninteresting and add little to the gameplay. For the whole gameplay, I've only used the "K" which is nitro.
Pros and Cons

Pros:
+If you have very young children(which I don't have any atm) who are huge fans of the show, they might get a "few minutes" of enjoyment out of it. +It technically runs.
Cons:
-Awful Controls: Clunky, unresponsive controls that make driving a chore. -Terrible Graphics: Low-quality visuals that look like they belong on a last-gen handheld. -Repetitive Gameplay: The same bland races and tracks over and over again. -Zero Sense of Speed: Feels like you're driving at a snail's pace. -Lack of Content: Very little to do, and what's there is incredibly shallow. -Everything. -Seriously, everything. -The controls. -The graphics. -The gameplay. -The lack of speed. -The story. -The general feeling of wasted potential.
Conslusion
This game, brazenly priced at $44, delivers an experience worth barely forty cents. It's a staggering gulf between expectation and reality. Got it from Humble Choice on Jan 14, 2024. 1/10 Until next time. Take care everyone.
I mean... even after reading some reviews, I kept thinking, "It can't be THAT bad." I was right — it's not THAT bad, it's worse! When I told my girlfriend that this game was released in 2021, she couldn't believe it. The plot is poorly written, the gameplay is awful — it's not challenging, but the races are still unfair at the same time. Not worth it. Even getting it for free and completing 100% of the achievements still feels like a waste of time.
Сониевские гoндoны убрали из подписки эту игру. Взял в стиме. С братюнями под пивко на раздельном экране играется просто зaeбись. Только нужно быть готовым, если выстрелишь в зад - можно получить по eбалу.
Not a single game from this franchise has been good, including this one. The story in this game is like one of those movies where a group of small children break into some high tech facility and fool all the adults. Needless to say, it feels like this game was made for an age group way younger than the one who actually watched the movies. This game is also way too easy, even on the hardest difficulty. There is only a handful of cars available to choose from and each car is assigned to a specific character. The abilities all suck and make the game feel like a cheap Mario Kart. This is made even worse by the fact that none of the cars feel fast. It did run well on the steam deck, but that is really all this game had going for it. There is nothing to recommend here. _________________________________ Help me out by following my Curator, I’d really appreciate it!!
