Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 362.2/day in the week to Jul 16 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I liked this game a lot. I've been describing it as almost Animal Crossing meets old Runescape, and as a fan of both, I love it.

a "cozy" game like this has no right to be so aggressively grindy in the late game content. If a game doesn't properly reward effort when such high effort is demanded then the devs have failed us.
It could really use improvements. What is with the limit on houses that can be built? Grinding can be quite tedious. To advance you need to level up, of course. The need to level up fishing, for example, from say 27 to 50 in order continue on is a bit much. Forget cross platform play. I paid for 2 games (PC & Switch 2). That is fine. HOWEVER, could not get cross-play to work. Epic does not help. There is no way to contact support from what I could see on their website. The developer said they would help but never heard back from them. I asked for a refund for the PC version since I play it way more on my Switch. They will not refund my money. Needless to say, I am not a happy person and will be very hesitant to buy another game form this developer.
Level 5, the company that steals with AI?

I bought this game because I wanted to get a similar multiplayer experience to the original Fantasy Life on the 3ds to play with my online friends. This game did not give me that. It delayed any substantial online multiplayer until after the 2 hour mark, all while running Easy Anti Cheat in the background anyway. While the core gameplay is the same as on the 3ds, there's so much that's different about it, and those differences are what made me put down this game. 1. The controls. The buttons are all over the place. I played with a controller and the functions of buttons just kept swapping around. It's X to draw my weapon, but RT to sheathe it, and RT is also the sprint key but only when not in combat, because the dodge-roll is on A, but only during combat. The Magician's Meditation is on RB, but so is swapping magic type, but you have to hold down RB and then use Y and A to select the type of magic. This is poor design. 2. It feels like a really bad mobile game. They added a bunch of currencies (cashnuts, celestia's gifts, etc) when they really weren't necessary and just serve as a roadblock, really. It takes real life time to build structures. They have crossplay but expect you to buy the game multiple times to play on different consoles. 3. The structure is bad, both from a gameplay and story perspective. The game is divided into 3 worlds: the Present, the Past, and Ginormosia. Ginormosia feels so out of place to me. I'm sure there's justification for it later in the story, but it's so offputting to have time travel and then... Giant open world. For no reason other than "Whoops! More accidental dimensional travel so we can justify putting an open world in the game!" The main plot feels so rushed and the dialogue is terrible. I hate Trip. Sure, they tried to make him sympathetic with a little cutscene, but he's otherwise extremely annoying. 4. Grinding. Somehow, they made the grinding worse. I tried to sit down and level up my Mining so I could tackle some tougher ores, but it took so long. Leveling up in combat is easy, but it takes absolutely ages for Gathering and Crafting Lifes. 5. Bad representation. The colonialist and orientalist themes are on display from the very beginning. Mysteria in the past is an un-researched, cobbled together mishmash of cultures. In character customization, they have 7 different shades of pale skintones, and only 3 skintones for POC, and they're ALL ashy. They also only have 3 textured hairstyles at beginning character customization among the many other non-textured styles. TLDR: the multiplayer is not the same. The story is paper-thin. The gameplay is like the original, but the control scheme is so much harder to deal with. Don't get this if you want the Fantasy Life experience. Just go and play the original game again.
I played the OG Fantasy Life on the DS back in 2014/2015 so I was highly anticipating the release of Fantasy Life i. I'll be honest, I feel like the OG has a ton more replay value. I enjoyed Fantasy Life i, but nowhere near as much as the OG.
