4.5/10 Jigsaw puzzle TLDR: basic jigsaw puzzle with 30 AI-generated fantasy-themed pictures. Neutral vote Good: + pleasant music track (though it's only 1 track) So-so: +/- images are okay though may be too small resolution, at least for the early puzzles I could check. On my 4x screen the completed picture was taking a small section (like, 1/4th of the screen) +/- you see the completed picture as semi-transparent background, and this makes solving the puzzle trivial as if it were targeting 3-year olds. At least there should have been an option to disable that +/- very basic UI, uses default Unity's UI elements that mismatch the relatively detailed AI-generated images +/- as a curator, I got this app for free. Though I'd say, for a $3 price it should have had more images, far more. Also more varied ones. There are only 6 topics, and 5 per topic. Fantasy theme is so rich and has so many varied beasts and characters. So I'm pretty sure that AI-generating more such stuff wouldn't be all that difficult +/- initially all themes except the first 2 are locked. The only theme I actually was interested in were the fantasy girls but those are locked Bad: - nothing Looks like someone's learning project with Unity. Was it worth the $100 publishing fee? Maybe. At least this app proves that there are barely any casual players on Steam to bother with jigsaw puzzles. Or that the world in general has had more than enough jigsaw puzzles already. Myself, I could imagine buying such a game if it had 20+ puzzle types (not just jigsaw or 15-puzzles or mosaic etc), with hentai porn. It could be AI-generated. Yet not just your standard girls you can easily find online but something with at least a bit of imagination. And hundreds of images, not 30. A simple puzzle game with 6 categories, each offering 5 puzzles at varying levels of difficulty. Each puzzle rewards you with an achievement, and you can complete everything in about 90 minutes. I bought it on sale for 50 cents, so it was definitely worth it for me. If you're into short, casual puzzle games, this one is a decent pick!
Simple puzzle game. Easy Achievements
Game works and it's a nice and casual way to kill some time. Though The arrows to pick the puzzle in each category seem quite unresponsive. Not sure if it's just my laptop though. The different completion time goals seem quite pointless as there's no achievements tied to getting a better time. I guess some people like trying to perfect their time even without getting achievements for it but that's not me. However I can't recommend the game because of the use of AI art.
When it comes to any product you can often get a sense for whether or not the creator(s) had their heart in it. Even something that is clearly amateur work or has a lot of technical flaws that make it hard to digest may still have a few gems that show how someone behind the scenes really cared and wanted to make something good they just lacked the time, resources and/or skills to take that vision in their head and turn it into something that you could see. This isn't one of those though, it's a $3 jigsaw game and using AI to generate the art for said jigsaws doesn't help its case in the slightest. I'm not against using AI as a tool to make up for things you may lack but if it's everything then it's a crutch at that point. From jump there's no menu music and the music during jigsaws is very stock, just one track that loops which could almost be forgiven if not for the initial silent menu with a bland UI for selecting jigsaws, nearly all of which are locked until you complete others that may not interest you at all.
