"Fantasteroids" is hot garbage... it's a 2D retro pixelcrap "Avoidance" game, think Galaga but you don't get to shoot. There's game modes, but these are just subtle variations on that incredibly lame theme (like hiding parts of the screen, what innovation). There really is literally nothing here. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at [b]only 2 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? This is a "nope". While it won't necessarily cost you money, the time and hard drive space it requires could be better invested in one of the many higher-quality alternatives on Steam. [b]Note: Joke reviews[/b] As usual, with some of the worst games on Steam, all the comedians come out of the woodwork. The vast majority of the reviews for this game are joke reviews, mocking the game for just how bad it is. The comedians give us the usual "this game cured my cancer, saved my marriage, changed my life" story... sarcastic, but not useful if you want to know if the game is worth it. Because most of the reviews are humorous but also insincere and not reflective of the actual quality of the product, the positive review score for this game should be taken with a grain of salt.

[h1]ストイックにハイスコアを目指す避けゲー[/h1] 5ラインの避けゲー。避けてハイスコアを目指すのみ。徐々に難易度が上がっていくが、Lv表示みたいなのはなく、とにかくスコアだけな印象。累積で良いのでスコアを稼ぐと難易度の高いモードが解除される。Touchをプレイしてみたが単純に難易度が上がっているというか、どうしたもんかという印象だったのでどうなんだろう…。 スコアアタックが好きな人は良いと思うが、そこに興味のない自分のようなプレイヤーには厳しい。反射神経と運とスコアアタックに興味がある人にはオススメ。
