Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset

Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset is last of the Family Mysteries series. Unlike many other games these type, this series don't follow each others plot like sequels, no same characters nor even theme. When the first game Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises was crime-scene investigation with strong female lead character. The second, Family Mysteries 2: Echoes of Tomorrow going for more sci-fi like time travelling type of deal is Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset more like your typical and familiar good versus bad layout including scientists where you play the good guy who tries to save the world hero like. Plot summary - Dr. Nancy Bradford (you), a neuroscientist who works in a mind control field have ran out of funding money and you get approached a questionable neurotech megacorp. Who offers you 10 mil. USD if you come work for them and you agree, of course, but only as being secret spy for CIA that is. Soon Nancy realizes that she is caught in a dangerous situation. As a subplot your parents have died in a mysterious car crash 20 years ago, which just so happened to be that they worked with Professor David Webster, the CEO of the questionable megacorp. You are set to solve mystery regarding your parents death. Typical be the good guy, chase the bad guy - make things right plot. What comes to the plot in my opinion it was decent, not great. Just decent. I noticed few in inconsistencies in the story line and sometimes it seemed to go all over the place and too much at once, but overall it was okay - at least better than the The second, Family Mysteries 2: Echoes of Tomorrow, but not as good as the first one. I like the artwork, like most of the time in Artifex Mundi games you get smooth children book dreamy like views and scenes. Ambient background music is good, so are the game sounds. Not too repetitive to get you bored or annoyed. You got decent voice acting, which isn't always guaranteed in games like this. I wouldn't say it was excellent acting, but i don't ever have high hopes that in low budget games like this it is something like in RDR2 or Fallout 4. Therefore it gets an OK from me. Puzzles were okay in difficulty, not too hard or easy for me, which made them enjoyable since sometimes you get puzzles that are way too easy, tedious or nit picky to do that they make the game annoying, this didn't have it in my opinion. Easy to understand and pretty straight forward instructions. As what comes to a achievements they are achievable in one game play and there is fair amount of them (24), although there is multiple achievements you can easily miss like find all collectibles or morphing items. Miss one and you have to start all over again if you wish to get a complete achievement game to your name. This seems to be common thing in p&c HOG games tho, so not gonna be nit picky about that. Just be careful when playing that you get all the hidden collectibles. I would recommend this game if you want decent 3 to 5 hour play from it, but only if it's on sale. I think paying 14,99 euros (16,54 USD) from a game you only play once is too much. Seems to be somewhat average price for Artifex Mundi games. Luckily their games come to a sale every now and then. Pros • Pretty artwork • Good ambient music & sounds • Smooth controls • Extra chapter • Map • Difficulty levels • Decent difficulty puzzles - Not too easy or hard • Achievements can be collected with one game play Cons • Too expensive for a game you play only once - I would wait it come to a sale for at least -50% • Minor flaws like word break was misspelled as brake, i think most of the time or always? • Easy to miss achievements - Miss one collectible and that's there. Have to start again, if you aim to get complete game.

Só compre se estiver na promoção. Essa série de jogos é bem ok, no máximo. O plot é ok, as cenas de objetos escondidos são até bonitinhas, mas a dinâmica do jogo não é bem elaborada, na minha opinião. Não é um Royal Detective da vida, mas se estiver entediada dá pra se manter ocupada por umas horinhas.

First HOG (suitcase) is not playable at all. I don't know if it is because I'm on MacOS but screen freezes every time on first HOG. Can't quit can't click can't move cursor. Reinstall/restart doesn't work as well. This is the only artifex mundi game with this issue. I wouldn't recommend this one

AVG界的使命召唤，把所有硬核和有门槛的部分全都去掉了，只留下该类型最核心的乐趣。我记得十多年前这类型游戏也是非常火爆的，使命召唤（以及使命召唤-like）火自然有它的道理。

Kolejna przygoda od Artifex Mundi. Ładnie ilustrowane lokacje, na których znajdziemy trochę przedmiotów i rozwiążemy proste zagadki. Fabuła, w której liźniemy trochę szpiegostwa i tajemnic rodzinnych nie jest najwyższych lotów i w sumie nie musi być by mile spędzić te parę godzin. Polecam fankom i fanom gatunku :).

Купила бандл по скидке. Понятия не имею, почему возложила надежды на игру с топорным начальным роликом и криповой анимацией движущегося рта при истуканском туловище персонажей. Начало игры - просто 0/10. Обстричь ветви комнатного растения, потому что уронила туда печенье? Что? >< Где я оставила свой ключ в форме НЕЙРОНА (от контейнера, который вообще непонятно почему закрыт)? Как насчёт более реалистичых задач? Налить себе чашечку чая или кофе? Отыскать папку с исследовательскими документами? Что-то более понятное и важное для сюжета... Поиск предметов не всегда про логику, но мне бы не хотелось, чтобы персонажу в первую очередь пришлось искать свои мозги.

The game crashes after approximately 15 minutes in, and therefore, won't progress. I am on a Mac. I reached out to Artifex Mundi who said they would forward the problem to their QA team. After about a month and a half, I asked for an update and was given the same response. It has been almost five months and with further response from Artifex Mundi.
