First game i ever bought, boxed in 5¼ inch floppy disks and ran it on my first PC an AMD 80286-16 Mhz. There is no manual with the Steam version though the original boxed release had a fairly comprehensive booklet. Some key mappings - haven't found all of it

Arrow keys - flight direction controls
Numpad 2,4,6,8 - same as above
Numpad 1,3,7,9 - camera views. Left view show landing gear indicator and other instruments. Right view shows damage status panel.
Keypads 4,5,6,8- camera views
Numpad +/- - engine throttle
F3 & F4 - decrease or increase flaps by 1 increment
G - toggle landing gear
C - toggle between Map and radar
/ - afterburners DOS start menu control
Up / Down - moves cursor within sections
+ / - - moves cursor between sections
Gameplay very slow about 15 fps but physics very accurate for an old sim; plane has weight and inertia. Incomplete sound effects and no music when played with modern onboard sound chips. No worth it as a single purchase but in a bundle at 50% off then it's ok because you also get Falcon 4.0. All the Falcon series by Spectrum Holobyte set the benchmark in F-16 flight sims at their respective original time of release. Recommended only for collectors or flight sim enthusiasts. 5/10 for gameplay, 3/10 for graphics
I don't have a damn clue what's going on Also ♥♥♥♥ yeah I'm the only one that has a review on this game.
For some reason I've put a lot more time on this game than the other Falcon games. It's your basic F-16 flight simulator, but there's something about this game which makes it pretty cool, or maybe it's the fact that I've had a boxed copy since childhood and haven't been able to play it for almost 20 years, due to me not having a 486 computer to play it on, as the one I used to have (for a year) got junked back in '02. Even though all the other Falcon games are like this one, this 16 bit gem is something I can always come back to. Either way, very good game. You could also adjust the color scale to make your eyes not bleed out into oblivion. Also if you don't like HGC or CGA, try to emulate the Atari ST version if you really like this game and want to play it in all its' glory, it's a lot more colorful and stuff. And I'm absolutely LMAOing at the recommended specs that are shown for this game. I don't think this game would've even sold back in '87 if those were the bare minimums.
Wow! What an amazing game! It is just great. I love the graphics and the high color scale. It even has awesome aptions like choosing between pink and black or blue and black. WOW. I love it so much. Really brings back those memories, you know. Like how it is to live in a 1 bedroom appartment in the great alaskan planes, watching the ice truckers go by outside your window. Like wow, they must be so brave to drive their trucks across the ice so quickly. They must be real burly men, with thick arms. They must work out at the gym where the people go to greet eachother outside, right next to the starbucks. Yeah, the one that uses authentic, high quality coffe beans from Africa fueled by the Somolian government. They realy need to get rid of those priates....
Frankly, this game is old. The graphics and gameplay are relatively terrible, and the lack of instruction only compounds the feeling of helplessness.
I think its just not for me. I'm not that nostalgic.
I have more fun watching other people play these classic flight simulation games than I do playing them myself. I'm just not good at them and give up too easily.
I love this sim, its graphics are dated and its sound is mostly non-existent, but its a good tough game
