Ok, Ok, Ok. I was soooo skeptical about getting this game, but when I tell you I am enjoying the fu** outta this game. Reminds me of the actual RPGs coming up. Only thing I didn’t really like was that there was no character customization. Come on! I wanted to create my own Experience Character in the fairy tale guilds. Second I wished it was a free rom rpg more so of the takin turns. Also whats up with the one mission at a time thing 🙄🙄😑FIIIXXX IT!! But other than that I am def enjoying it. 🫡🫡🫡🫡
good
this is a good game adaption of an anime, and a good game adaption of an anime makes u want to watch the anime to view what they reference and to learn more about the world and this game did just that. it made me want to see wendy's past and wendy's travels to the parallel universe, so i may or may not start reading or watching fairy tail at a later date. we'll see how i feel 😂 as i only just recently started watching one pace (one piece with no fillers) and i don't really watch anime much and i like to read manga/webtoons more either way, i took a 3 year break from this game, as i always do with many of my jrpgs 😅 but i'm glad i came back to finish the game. i remembered enjoying the game back when i first bought it but i believe i took a break as i returned to my previous games or new games had released that i was more interested in i enjoyed the extra endgame content and not many games make me feel like finishing off everything beyond the credits screen, yet this one compelled me, the reason being that it had more story so i wanted to see what else they had in store 😂 my final thoughts is that i believe this game is pretty good, sits around 8/10 for me. i didn't like some of the quests that were like kill 15 of these enemies yet only 1 spawns and it felt draining due to it. the combat was interesting, they did try to make turnbased combat a bit more interesting with the positioning thing, but yeah, it just boiled down to spamming the chain attacks whenever it was ready and just watching number go big, as many enjoy. as i mentioned, i did enjoy the story which i believe it is hard to mess up the story of a game adaption of an anime if it is being entirely faithful and i believe the story in this was also part of the anime or maybe just a different angle, i can't remember, but oh well :^) i liked the game. the game was good. it was a nice time waster and i finally got it done with and crossed off of my backlog as the many new games releasing are all 100 aud+ and not everyone was born rich so i'd rather go through my backlog than buy new games and the new games will be taken from very legitimate sources either way >:) edit: just realised the game costed 90 aud 😱. i'd suggest pirating the game or buying it on sale. i don't know what past me was on, but they were someone who liked throwing money away and i no longer do that 😂
Fairy Tail is honestly a great action packed fun RPG game that follows the story of the Anime extremely well, but the only thing I think is bad in this game is that it honestly can be very corner cutting or like lacking in important people like just wont get a model but a text box with an anime face picture. I'm fine with that but it can honestly be kind of bland only seeing like 9 people in the fairy tail guild hall when they are supposed to have like 50+ people from the guild. Another example is when jellal merdy (don't know how to spell merdy) and ultear are all together talking about stuff that's very important and merdy is just not there and her model is non existent. the game also skips some small but important arcs like the key of the starry heavens arc which is important to Lucy's development and just skipping neo aracheon six (dont know how to spell that either in conclusion its a awsome game but is lacking in many parts of it anyways thanks for reading and stuf
Finished, As a Game Adaptation, It really translates the World and Characters pretty well like the Bond System will give you plenty of character interactions that you wouldn’t see in the Anime/Manga, The Game has the issue of starting at the Grand Magic Games arc and it feels it was ONLY made for Fans and or People that watched the Anime/Manga and you have actually a lot of the Previous arcs just to be able to understand everything that is going on which is big barrier of entry, Another Issue is that the Portion For Tartarous, Which I consider to be the Best Arc of the series, would Speed through a lot of the Later fights and only give a montage which feels kinda disappointing since some of those could’ve been decent boss fights, It also skips the content in between the GMG arc and Tartarous which feels like you can’t really experience the story throughout the game only compared to other Anime to Game Adaptations, Another Issue is that if you had any issues with those arcs personally in terms of writing and characters it’s going to be present in the game, But Compared to Eden Zero it’s Way Better Adapting the themes of friends and Bonds into engaging game mechanics like the Bond system, Magic links, and All out Attacks, and the game makes it point to get to you do these because it you’re really into the characters you’ll get more Fun Character interactions, Being able to do more Damage with the magic links, Rank up a lot of characters for multiple buff skills which are tailored to the characters The Guild System is also done really well since it is Side Quest system but it does a good job in interconnecting with the main story since you’re going to be required to hit certain rank bench marks and build all the other facilities so you can numerous benefits and it does feel really rewarding and if you’re a Fairy tail fan it really succeeds of emulating of being part of a huge guild, Doing Requests is rewarding since it loops back to getting more items and building up the guild Gameplay is Mixed since there are good ideas like the Grid system when it comes to Enemy placements and Certain Attacks having certain Grid placements and having certain effects like Counters which is my favorite thing to use and it makes for interesting decision making but it can feel like I’m playing on Autopilot in certain sections due to Guest characters, that I have wait till end of the game to use in a Team, and not being able to control them and it really sucks that I have to keep sitting through the same attack animations without either being able to skip it or speed up the battles in anyway and it kinda leads to being a little mentally checked out and the game really lacking in difficulty since it’s to overlevel and over boost in the stats with the Lacrimas The Optimization and Overally artstyle transition to a video game is done really well and Mashima Designs and expressions for his characters are still retained here , 7/10
If you're a Fairy Tail fan like myself.... Get it. I haven't watched the anime in a while (since I'm waiting for the new season to come out atm) and playing this game was a great refresher for me and definitely scratched my itch that I needed. Going back to Magnolia, the Grand Magic Games etc. was so nostalgic. If you're a fan, this is 100% worth playing.
