Faint Call was a quick walking sim horror. The atmosphere is creepy and story was okay. There were a few puzzles that were hard to understand and mentally took you out of the game due to the number of times repeating to get them right. But overall, a great play with some okay jump scares.

https://youtu.be/iiNCv0N1UHg ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Faint Call completely caught me off guard — in the best way. The atmosphere is incredibly tense, and the pacing is just slow enough to let the dread sink in without ever feeling boring. I loved how it plays with your expectations — it’s not about cheap jumpscares, it’s about that creeping feeling that something isn’t right. The sound design and lighting are top-tier for an indie horror, and the story left me thinking long after it ended. Felt like I was stuck in a waking nightmare, and I mean that as a compliment. Seriously impressive work — I’ll be keeping an eye on this dev for sure.
Not a bad horror game. The setting and atmosphere is nice and it does a decent job of building tension in the beginning, the story could probably use a little more padding. The forced getting locked into rooms segments got pretty annoying because of how long they last. It would be a much better experience if those were shortened just a bit. For those having trouble in the basement, you can literally outrun it. It only shuffles a few steps at a time and it won't directly attack you, even walking around it. While frustrating at first, if you outpace it a bit before putting in a lightbulb, you can get through it pretty quickly.
I just finished playing the game. The look was cool, the shifting house the more I explored was cool. Explanation of lore or why ANY of it was happening.... kind of fell flat. I suppose you could look at it from the viewpoint that the Officer was going in blind, we were going in blind. A lot happened. I have questions. The one thing that the game did really well was pull me in and wanting to know more of the why. I ended the game WANTING to know more. Why was it happening. What started it all, etc. There were some pretty good jumpscares that got me good that I was expecting and at times I didn't get jump scared when I was totally expecting it to happen so I liked that. It wasn't an amazing game, but it wasn't a horrible game either. The price was right and I feel like I got my moneys worth. I give it a solid 5.5 out of 10.
