Highly recommended to everyone who has VR capabilities; a testament to the power of well thought-out roomscale VR. Has quickly become one of the games I'm most excited to show people when introducing them to VR: -An Indiana Jones style 3D platformer with no false locomotion; all the steps you take in the game are steps you take in real life. The game makes very clever/efficient use of a 2Mx2M playspace, through sliding blocks that you hop onto, as well as rolling logs that you walk forward or backwards on. Through this, they're able to make it feel like you're freely and physically traversing this sprawling temple all while unknowingly zig zagging through your full play space. -I do hope they're able to work toward Quest support, as I believe that would move this firmly into killer app territory.

Love this game. If you always wanted to be Indiana Jones and have the required space of 2 m x 2 m get the game and have fun. The redirected walking mechanic in this game ensures that you stay in your playspace. At first its a challenge walking backwards on the rolling cylinders but you get used to it quickly. The many mixed reality videos published on YouTube give a very good impression of how it's to play this game. The sense of presence is very high. The game demo is already polished with good music and sound effects als well as water effects and whip physics. I will recommend this gem of an indie game to everybody I know that has a PC VR headset. Pro tip: Play this game with Virtual Desktop on Quest on a 5 Ghz WLAN for total free movement without wires.
First Steps is a demo for Eye of the Temple. It's a 100% room scale VR adventure game. You solve puzzles with a torch and whip and dodge booby traps as you progress. It's basically Indiana Jones in VR and is a must play if you have at least 2x2m of space. https://youtu.be/QEZoRAw23oo
Unless you have a massive play area you are out of luck. No stick locomotion, you cannot even turn. The lack of this extremely basic accessibility feature renders this game completely unplayable for those with smaller play areas.
THAT is quite the perfect idea how to use the roomscale vr ... not usable without 2x2meters - dont even try :) ... its soooooo good
Played on HTC Vive Pro/Vive wands/RTX2060Super, This is a fine example of good a VR game. Is looks great, it plays great. Looking forward to playing the full game. He has created an exellent system. I also like the extra warning pictures at the beginning, haha, I found myself onetime trying to regain my balance by wanting to push the wall, and ofcourse there is no wall, haha, but he warned about that (that's a really good thing and should be present at way more VR-games).
By far, the most realistic controls in VR I have ever seen. There are no buttons, no gestures, only clever mapmaking, a torch, and a whip. I love it.
A lot more immersive than joystick movement
Loving it...Extremely creative use of VR! You are actually playing a part in the Puzzles. And the puzzles are not too complicated...they're just a lot of fun! I love puzzle games that are more fun then overlay complicated...it makes for much less frustration and much more enjoyable and satisfying experience. Please note, I have a 2.9 meter x 2.1 meter Play Area. The 2.1 m width is barely enough. I go right up to the edge of it very frequently in order to play effectively. That being said, please do not leave a bad review just because of that. The Developer appears to have done everything they can to make use of a very large map within 2m x 2m. It runs butter smooth, and we only have an i5 CPU with a GTX 1050Ti 4GB GPU. So it is very well optimized already, especially considering how very graphic this game is. We need more exceptional creativity like this in developing VR Games.
