Reviews
Loved the idea of this game. Unfortunately, all the characters are just carbon copies of each other with no real variety or strategy to building them. Other than that, the caltrops are horrible. Free action from the enemy, can't be avoided, and now my characters are injured and bleeding with no counter. It's just over the top ridiculous... not fun at all.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not the best RPG out there, with some tedious mechanics (they really should have let the player do everything in camp from a menu on the map, not only half of it) and it could have covered the interesting stuff going around in the period in a lot more depth, but overall pretty enjoyable. Don't pick a Princeps as your character, Triarius is the best option.

Good entertainment for turn based fans
Finished the first playthrough and the game is a very good game. I enjoyed the combat, and story. The characters and companions are likeable. The base management does not feel like a tedious addition. Although, the army battles when taking settlements feels a bit bare bones. If you like strategy/tactical games give Expedition: Rome a go! I'm eager to see which chapter in history will be the next entry into the series. Edo Period - Japan, would be interesting.
