EXOTERRA: A Space Journey is a first-person, Escape Room-style puzzle game with a science fiction theme, set aboard a spacecraft stranded in the dark void of outer space. The entire ship functions as one large Escape Room, divided into small rooms containing interconnected puzzles and challenges that the player must solve. To get the ship operational again, players will need to solve all the puzzles, reconnect its systems, and follow the clues scattered throughout the vessel.
Physics are a core element of EXOTERRA: A Space Journey. Most objects in the environment have realistic physical properties and can be manipulated by the player. Many of the puzzles rely on this system, challenging players to interact with and combine physical objects to solve them. Every action counts: experiment, test, and see if you have what it takes to bring the ship back to life.
In the year 2083, after decades of exploiting Earth’s surface and subsurface resources, a devastating catastrophe known as “The Great Cataclysm” struck the planet.
Thanks to the efforts of the world’s top researchers and scientists, an ambitious project was launched: to locate the three closest exoplanets with the highest potential for habitability and to build three spacecraft carrying experts to determine whether these new worlds could support human life. Welcome to the third of these ships: the HOPE-03.
Mission Objective: Find a new home and ensure the survival of the human species. The fate of humanity hangs by a thread… and you decide if there will be a tomorrow.

Exoterra – A Space Journey is a familiar story. You find yourself on an abandoned spaceship and must determine how to get things restarted to continue your journey. There are tablet computers left by the absent crew and these give you a bit of back-story. There are also key cards scattered about that provide incremental access to the rest of the ship. Some achievements can be missed. Three are story related and will be earned by finishing the game. The rest are awarded for specific actions which are clearly stated in the achievement descriptions. For the most part, gameplay involves traversing the ship, discovering codes to open cabinets and finding cards to access locked doors. You will need to build a mental map of the environment because the key card you find in one room may open a door on the opposite side of the ship. There is also a console that synthesizes different items and this is discovered by trial and error. All in all, it is not a bad adventure and the puzzles were fair. I’d recommend it to those who enjoy exploring an empty environment to uncover what occurred in the past. However, before jumping into Exoterra, be advised that it includes no save option and must be completed in a single sitting. If you are willing to accept this reality, then this trip to space should be enjoyable for you. For me, the inability to save my game is a deal-breaker. Going forward, I would hope that this developer would consider adding this functionality to future projects.
Sinopsis

🎮 Steam Deck: No funciona. Lo salvaría de un incendio! 👨🚒👍🔥
6/10

The only real plus of the game is the high-quality graphics for a free title. Otherwise, it’s very boring — there are plenty of puzzle games that are far more interesting. I did like that about 99% of the objects can be picked up and moved, but at the same time, about the same percentage of them are just useless junk you’ll never need during the playthrough. The game lacks more meaningful items you actually use, more interesting puzzles, and maybe even an inventory system — though I’m not entirely sure about that. For now, I can’t recommend the game.
Pretty good!
So, very interesting game. Unfortunately, I had to stop playing. There's no FPS control and it is making my PC freak out. I even turned the graphics to low. I don't have a trash PC. It may not be a beast, but it can play most games very well.
Fun, puzzles were straightforward and simple. I didn't finish because there is a missing floor tile in one of the final rooms that I fell out of the map in. Funny there is an object retrieval function but not one for the player themselves lol, compounded with no save function, didn't feel like restarting. Edit: Fixed, updoot granted
