About
Exit Dream is a free experimental game I made while exploring visual storytelling, a direction I have since continued in other projects.
Step into a series of surreal dreams where nothing behaves as expected.
This first-person horror game blends an unsettling atmosphere with puzzle-like challenges, creating moments of confusion, tension, and discovery.
Psychological Horror - Fear, desperation, and hopelessness born in the mind.
Four Dreams - The Betrayal, The Old Soul, Against the Wind, and Help Me. Each follows its own unsettling rules.
Dream Logic - Strange puzzles invite experimentation, not conventional solutions. Follow dreamlike associations to find your way out.
Atmospheric & Surreal - Minimal UI, no dialogue, just raw immersion.
Progress Saving - Your progress is saved - return later and continue the dream.
Explore, adapt, and escape the dreams - if you can.

"some dreams do not want to end" exit dream - это не игра в привычном ее понимании.
What utter nonsense. Nothing makes any sense whatsoever. The solutions are only found by trying random things out of sheer desperation that no sane person would ever consider part of the solution. I have an idea for some "dreams" with the same kind of logic: You get zero hints! 1. To advance to the next dream, you have sit on a chair, but only in such a way that the chair is sitting on you. Then you have to Blow out an underwater candle by: - NOT looking at it, - NOT breathing, - but holding down the blow button. (If you breathe, the candle will get brighter.) 2. In the next dream Look at the clock running backwards, but only in the reflection of your own pupils. 3. In the third dream say loudly into the microphone: "I didn't hear anything." (The game only reacts if you're being honest.) 4. Spin around three times, but: the first spin must be clockwise, the second counterclockwise, the third must be exactly neither. (The game interprets this as "quantum spin undetermined".) 5: In the fifth dream, the door only opens if the player has a Kelly Family tattoo on his foot while doing a handstand in a tub full of goat's blood and reciting Schiller's "The Bell" backwards. That's Exit Dream's kind of logic for you. Have fun!

Very confusing, had to look up a walkthrough to even figure out what to do. No direction and it caused my GPU fans to run harder than when I play Sims 3 on full graphics.
Quite honestly disappointed in this title! I was promised atmospheric horror and I got none of that. What I got was 4 puzzle rooms with 0 instructions, no gameplay tutorial, no menu, nothing showing objectives or even the button mapping for the character you are playing as. There is no story and the puzzles are beyond bizarre and make little sense. My playthrough took me 21:35 minutes to get through because most of it was fumbling around but you could honestly get through the whole thing in less than 5 minutes. I am not getting the "unsettling" or "surprisingly memorable" that the developers promised but I am 10000% getting the "confusing." The puzzles made absolutely no sense. The only thing this game accomplished was to make me feel stupid. Had to watch a Youtube video to see the full game.
Exit Dream is marketed as a “psychological horror” game with a dark, intriguing atmosphere and complex puzzles. Unfortunately, not all of that is true. The scariest thing about the game is how poorly it runs — even on a machine that exceeds the recommended hardware specifications. It is dark, in the sense that most of the otherwise nearly empty levels are very poorly lit, but any real sense of atmosphere is completely missing, at least for me. As for the puzzles, there are a few of them — in fact, if you know what you’re doing, the entire game can be finished in about ten minutes. Sadly, they’re not satisfying at all, since their solutions lack any real logic. Add to that the fact that it’s sometimes almost impossible to even see the object you need, and the overall experience becomes genuinely frustrating. In the end, Exit Dream isn’t fun, and it’s not worth your time — not even as a free game. Video review: https://youtu.be/QDUVEbDnDsk
