EXE.CUTOR is a game where you place data blocks to complete lines. Acquire various equipment and enhance your data blocks to build stronger lines and defeat virus hosts infesting cyberspace!
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
A viral infection has begun to spread across the entire city. With no official response possible, they activate their custom-built execution system, EXE.CUTOR, to deal with the threat.
Place data blocks to complete lines and eliminate corrupted AIs and their hosts one by one!
Place data blocks on an 8×8 grid and rotate 4×4 areas to complete lines. When a line is completed, equipment activates, triggering attacks, defenses, or various special effects.
Each piece of equipment has its own tier and category, and combining them creates powerful synergies. Which equipment to prioritize and which category to build around is entirely up to the player. Sometimes, a well-matched combination can change the battle more than a single powerful item.
Gain equipment and data blocks through battles and stage events. Through recovery, enhancement, and decision nodes, carve out your own path of growth.

Fun little puzzle deckbuilder, think block blast meets slay the spire. Highly recommend hunting down all achievements, they're simple and lead you through different playstyles (definitely fool around with ghost blocks, extremely satisfying)
one of those tetronimo placement puzzlers, fill a line to clear it, etc. nothing will ever beat planaris 2+ in the field, though there are a bunch of decent alternatives, some also free like this. and most default to english, unlike this, so click the 2nd button from bottom in the main menu, then choose english (or whatever) from the pull-down menu. separate volumes, resolutions and windowed mode are the other settings, available anytime. instant and silent text display, graphics are as shown on the screenshots, meeting colorful hacking tropes, music is pretty good, the intro is skippable, the tutorial, written as part of the story, isn't the first time, but it's optional on subsequent runs. the main difference from other similar games is the presence of enemies. select one, then place shapes from your hand on the grid and hurt them by clearing lines. 'extraction' lets you convert blocks from a 3x3 area to cards once per battle. bonus blocks appear after clearing lines, only turning into regular ones at the end of the turn, so you can put pieces over them or use them as missing links. these can't be extracted until they solidify. levels are laid out on a node-based map, sometimes a choice is offered based on how the stages are connected. big boss waiting at the end, arcade mode with a tough baddie sporting 1 million hp (as opposed to 2x400 in regular mode) unlocks when it's all done. the inventory shows all the block cards that can come up, as well as equipment. during the preparation phase, place weapons and shields on the border to cause harm or protect your own well-being with cleared lines. set bonuses created on the sides from higher quality gear are really beneficial, they can heal, increase max hp, draw an extra card, etc. there's also crafting, unlimited and free as long as you have the materials and land on a crafting node, and tetrominos can also be upgraded or obtained for free at the right places. mouse controls, tooltips aplenty, hotkeys in short supply (there are none), and hold & drag only, can't click to pick up, click to place. mouse wheel doesn't rotate either, only clicking rmb while holding a piece with lmb, not exactly accessible. even less so because the game broke during the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial. I accidentally let go of lmb but the piece remained stuck to the cursor, rmb still rotated but couldn't place or get rid of it. no keys worked, only alt+f4. and this with weeks of mandatory data collection after release because who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about gdpr over there? that's why I held off playing until they turned it off. it led to some fixes but not this one, apparently. worked a second time but it also happened later. very annoying, especially with no mid-level saving, gotta start the level over next time, progress is only saved between levels and the final boss takes forever. another novelty is the ability to rotate a quarter of the board with either mouse button. making it work both ways is always welcome but surprising nobody, this can lead to even more buggy or simply unwanted behavior here. I was trying to rotate a piece to fit in a gap but it rotated the board and also placed the shape where I didn't want it to go. ♥♥♥♥ you. obviously no undo to fix things either. line clears are instant, another accidental inconvenience with all the rotating, but the turn only ends on your command even if you're out of cards, as rotations aren't limited. I really like this sort of thing and the new mechanics and stuff here, but a buggy mess with missing basic functionality and controls that are uncomfortable at best, useless (on laptops especially) and broken at worst can't be recommended. shame, as it's fun when it works.

seems fun, but unplayable on a laptop without an external mouse because you can't right-click while dragging on a touchpad. maybe make it so pressing shift rotates the block? I'll change my recommendation if this is updated
Short and fun puzzle game, has actually good replayability, and all this for free? Damn, that's a good deal!
