Everyday Genius: SquareLogic

Love this game. Been coming back to it on and off since it was recommended to me around 2011. Good challenges, a wonderful hint feature that gives you an increasingly specific nudge in the right direction without just telling you the answer to a square right away (one of my favorite features in puzzle games), and a wide variety of puzzle types that are all fun in their own way. My personal favorites are the hidden cage (paint square) and dual screen levels. Would definitely recommend this game, as I still regard it highly well over a decade after purchase. Only con to the entire thing: If there is a very specific puzzle type you like best, you can end up blowing through all the hard levels for that puzzle type in not too much time. There's an easy reset completion button for each puzzle type, but I wish there were more puzzles to each type as well. An overall wonderful puzzle game, I came to see if the developers had made any others, but alas, it is an only child!

Excellent Sudoku like. With more deactivated help functions it becomes a serious challenge.

Puzzles provide nice level of challenge, without being trivially easy or hard to the point of getting stuck. One nice feature is the "Solving Tip" button, which will give you a nudge in the direction to look. If you click it again, it gives you more specifics, explaining its reasoning (so it will actually teach the player how to solve puzzles).

With thousands of puzzles with a range of different variations on the rules determining how a grid should be filled (except for one universal rule: no digit repeats on the same column or row), the puzzles in this collection is suited for any time from a light mental workout to those times you want to really be challenged by a puzzle. Controls are simple and intuitive and while not all puzzles are immediately available, access to the next "level" of puzzles is gated behind a simple challenge puzzle mechanic, so no single puzzle variety outstays its welcome. I've been returning to this game intermittently for years. It's great for those times when you just want to distract yourself for a few minutes - or a few hours. Recommended.

Best puzzle game on Steam

The puzzles are nice, with a range of difficulties. They typically take me about 30 seconds each. Having said that, there are probably more than 50000 of them. There's no way to run out.

I enjoyed doing the Kenken puzzles I'd find in newspapers so I bought this game and am not disappointed. The puzzles range from very simple to exceedingly complex and there are thousands of them. If you like Kenken or are just a fan of logic/arithmetic puzzles similar to Sudoku I would recommend this game.
