About
"Welcome back to the Afterlife, Ki. Let's get you to the Evergate, and back to Earth"

When a lost soul named "Ki" awakens in the afterlife, her path back to earth is blocked by the ‘Evergate’. To return home, Ki must decipher her mysterious connection to kindred spirit as she navigates through memories of a time once past.
Navigate through each new memory via 85 challenging stages. Harness the ‘Soulflame’ mechanic, unlock new abilities and find your own creative ways to reach each end gate.

This ancient power of the Afterlife allows Ki to slow down time, take aim and fire a beam of energy at white surfaces known as "The Source".

Use your Soulflame to smash through the mysterious crystals scattered throughout each memory. Unleash their power to soar to new heights, reach the unreachable and safely navigate perilous environments. Hit multiple crystals at once to combined their energies and find new creative ways to reach the end gate.

Rise to the challenge and collect "Essences" by reaching all the areas within each memory. Use them to unlock ancient artefacts and boost Ki's attributes. Move faster, jump higher and harness even greater powers!

Gorgeous hand-drawn visuals and an elegantly orchestrated soundtrack - recorded by a live orchestra - immerse players in the Afterlife and bring dreams, nightmares and spirits alive in stunning detail.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

puzzle platformer x precision platformer GAMEPLAY: *main objective: platforming to reach the gate (easy) *additional objectives (this is where it gets harder, aka where the fun begins): - collect all crystals before reaching the gate --> this is the puzzle platformer aspect of the game (you have to plan out your jumps/ how you interact with the other mechanics of the level), but right now I don't think the puzzles are really difficult - speedrun before the timer ends --> this is the precision platformer aspect (you have to precisely aim your jumps to reach the gate as quickly as you can), personally I like precision platformer that only uses keyboard, this game requires both keyboard and mouse (to aim) ART: environment and character design is like if Ori was made by a small indie studio, my only critique is that I'm not satisfied with the cutscenes (feels a bit underwhelming) MUSIC: atmospheric, really nice

Evergate is great puzzle platformer that borders on precision platforming territory at times but never to an annoying degree. The game is divided into many levels which all amount to a suprisingly long runtime that doesn't quite feel that long. Each area has new mechanics that challenge in new and exciting ways while offering a new pallete to gaze upon. It's not THE best looking game but it ain't ugly either and i generally enjoyed seeing and playing each stage. The controls felt sharp and each stage was well designed. Story was enough to serve as a distraction but the real undeniable highlight is the music. Evergate has an INCREDIBLE soundtrack that i strongly recommend picking up alongside your copy of the game.
Evergate is the most underrated gem I've ever found, and Im so glad to be review number 100. I got it cheap expecting an alright short game, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I was so surprised by the quality of basically every aspect of it. Coming up with strategies is so fun because the gameplay is constructed in a very unique way, that allows for many solutions/skips to be done with the variety of artifacts you find, which you can generally get some use of in many situations if you're creative. Thats not to take away from the "intentional" ways to beat levels, that also feel very clean to do. In terms of length I expected way less, but thanks to the artifacts replayability of levels in order to get speed badges after doing then normally is not only worth doing, but probably my favorite part of the game. There's also some fun (I think kickstarter created) bonus levels, and im not even done with the game after 11 hours, because of achievement hunting if you're into that. The other insane thing about this game, which I feel like should be the reason a lot of people have at least heard of, is the damn ost, its sooo good and I've been listening to some stuff from it outside of the game too. I cant believe this only has 10 likes on youtube despite being one of my favorite songs from a game I've heard all year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZAq3gBkhy4 Story is not a big part of the game at all, but its pretty compelling and its implemented well with the other stuff. This game is just amazing, its a crime how underrated it is, and Im gonna be preaching it like crazy to try and get more people to check it out
