Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 20.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 25.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like, TTRPG-turned-CRPG set in a bizarre post-Arcanepunk fantasy setting. You are The Cleric, an expert in esoteric events, and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, Esoteric Ebb features deep and branching dialogs with a staggering amount of choices.
Create the world’s worst cleric. Take on the city through tense TTRPG dice rolls. Struggle to maintain control with your Stats chiming in at every moment. Let the voices guide you into insane encounters and hit that natural 20 right when you need it. Become the most interesting player at the table and completely ruin your DM’s day.
Five days until the first-ever election, a tea shop explodes in the heart of the city. They send you to deal with the mess.
You wake up in a morgue with half the river in your boots, surrounded by ten thousand rotting apples, several corpses, and one zombie. Out of your depth and with no official backup, you delve into your beloved city to investigate the impossible mystery no one wants you to solve. Juggle factions and play them against each other. Explore the streets and tunnels of a fantasy metropolis. Debate devils, drunk sphinxes, and all manner of fantastical fools in a world where mythological creatures sell newspapers at corner shops and ideologies overtake the ramblings of dead gods.

Don’t forget the most important question: What are you voting in the election?
MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL COME BACK TO BITE YOU. Shifting alliances! Risky dungeoneering! Complete open-ended quests, low and high-stakes alike, set in the streets, towers, and dark tunnels of Norvik. Become the city’s savior, its demise, or bumble your way into absolute power.
TRUST THE DICE. Let chance guide you! Roll to wrestle dwarves, steal anything in sight, or to keep yourself from looking like a complete fool. But remember, in true TTRPG fashion, failure can often be way more interesting.

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Debate yourself! Each Ability Stat has a conflicting viewpoint and loves to interrupt important conversations. No matter whose side you fall on, you'll complete quests in wonderfully ridiculous ways.

WIELD REALITY-SHAPING MAGIC. Use The Cleric’s power for unique narrative choices. Control minds for fun and profit. Detect secrets in the tunnels below or in the thoughts of your enemies. Speak with anyone, living or dead, just to see how they insult you.

TURN-BASED ENCOUNTERS. Clerics in Norvik are taught to use violence as a last resort. When the need does arise, a roll of the dice determines life or death. But you always have a bizarre solution to any problem, don’t you?

THE QUESTING TREE. Your quest log, skill tree, and mind map all at once. Each Quest Branch can take root in your mind and alter The Cleric’s playstyle through game-changing feats.

Потрясающая игра, как сюжетом так и геймплеем. Это легкая, юмористическая история в которую очень легко погрузиться.
Totally worth it. Like a good game of DnD. Highly recommend.
Enjoyable game spun around a great who-done-it-mystery in a city on the brink of election. As a CREPG, it got all a lot going for it: Great characters, freedom in play style and an a game play with is easy to figure out. All in all, this is all briliant and it gives the game a high re-play value, in that - the second time you play it, almost certanly won't be like the game you just played. BUT. This game also has two major negatives. 1) It's dice system has of unknown reasons a tendency to hit low numbers so often, that through it may RNG, it can bring you on the edge of rage qutting, because it's simply donsen't seem plausible too keep on roling low on every first dice roll so many times as it happens. Add to this that the game litterly says "failure can be more interesting than succes", and you have three choices: Accept the low rolls, rage quit or save scum like a mad man... 2) While the game has a solid story, there are times when the eksposition is simply so massive and about topics which dosen't matter, that it feels like your reading a novel. Add the above two together, and the point of a second playthrough begin different from the first one, will most certainly give you a more slim playthrough, in that the second time around, you'll know with dice tjeks actually matter and which eksposition mega blocks to skeep and that's a BIG positive!

A brilliant love letter to Disco Elysium and DnD, one that wants you to have fun and not take it overly serious for the majority of the ride. An easy recommend, especially since for a game with so much politics, it never once feels like it's flat at telling you that you're a monster or stupid for your choices, it just let's you make them.
I want to give it as an "ok" review. The gameplay and interactive is really good, I enjoyed myself but I felt like the story fell short; I actually hated the ending of the story more than anything. I honestly thought the story was boring --- maybe because political things are kind of are boring to me and I guess I expected something more out of it in a game like this, but then it didn't do that soooo.... I also think the world was smaller than I expected. I would have liked to explore more underground -- was disappointed to figure out it was very small. Also more secrets -- or puzzles of some sort. I really loved those quests in the beginning. I loved the interactive parts of the game, I do, but everything else was just eh. The map was confusing and wish it had an indicator where you were on the map rather than using your eyeballs. I also think the quests not really being "quests" as in you couldn't go back and re-read the conversations of what you missed when you saved your game. I had to retrace my steps a lot because I saved the game in a specific spot and couldn't remember where I was in the quest I was doing. It was very confusing that I had to pull up a guide -- but I will say, that even without a guide, it was easy to follow through the story. I discovered many things even before the "walkthrough" which I ended up not even using because I was so far ahead of the game. This isn't my first RPG play, but it is one I half enjoyed and half felt lost. I think there was a lot of interactive parts I really liked and some that fell flat. I also felt like there should have been more interactions with npcs and other people within the game rather than quest related npcs. As I said before, it was good, I enjoyed myself but I found the overall story fall flat and boring. If they ever do a DLC to explain more on the history and other lose ends; I would be interested.
Oh, Esoteric Ebb. What an experience. From the very first interaction, I immediately had this thought that it might be the best thing I get to play this year. After finishing it, that thought still has not gone away, even though the second half of the year is looking very strong. The closest comparison is obviously excellent Disco Elysium, but for my taste, Esoteric Ebb may actually surpass it. It was much easier for me to get into this format in a medieval fantasy world, especially one that draws so strongly from DnD. Playing it genuinely feels like a single player DnD campaign. The kind of funny campaign you would play with friends, which more than once suddenly turns into something deeply emotional. At first, I definitely did not expect the game to go so hard into politics, but I quickly started to really dig it. The character abilities representing extreme political views were both hilarious and surprisingly effective. About 3/4 of the adventure felt incredibly smooth, and it was hard to put the game down. Unfortunately, the remaining part dragged a bit for me. I understand the purpose of dialogue paths that lead nowhere in a game where time matters. I assume they are meant to act as traps for the player. Still, there were a few too many of them, and I also wanted to trigger every single interaction I saw, because any one of them could hide something amazing. That hit even harder because most of the characters were so well written. During conversations, it was easy to feel like I was talking to someone real, someone I might have actually met before. Overall, it was a divine experience. I will definitely return to the game once voice-over is added. At the moment, the lack of voice acting will probably raise the entry barrier for many players.
I never thought I would get chills from putting my vote into a ballot box.
While the writing isn't as strong as disco elysium this game certainly can scratch that itch. Its deep and philosophical to a satisfying extent that you can lose yoursef in a conversation for minutes on end debating the idea of branching baseline morals with different cultures and how they tend intertwine with one another. 8/10
