Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 20.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 25.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like, TTRPG-turned-CRPG set in a bizarre post-Arcanepunk fantasy setting. You are The Cleric, an expert in esoteric events, and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, Esoteric Ebb features deep and branching dialogs with a staggering amount of choices.
Create the world’s worst cleric. Take on the city through tense TTRPG dice rolls. Struggle to maintain control with your Stats chiming in at every moment. Let the voices guide you into insane encounters and hit that natural 20 right when you need it. Become the most interesting player at the table and completely ruin your DM’s day.
Five days until the first-ever election, a tea shop explodes in the heart of the city. They send you to deal with the mess.
You wake up in a morgue with half the river in your boots, surrounded by ten thousand rotting apples, several corpses, and one zombie. Out of your depth and with no official backup, you delve into your beloved city to investigate the impossible mystery no one wants you to solve. Juggle factions and play them against each other. Explore the streets and tunnels of a fantasy metropolis. Debate devils, drunk sphinxes, and all manner of fantastical fools in a world where mythological creatures sell newspapers at corner shops and ideologies overtake the ramblings of dead gods.

Don’t forget the most important question: What are you voting in the election?
MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL COME BACK TO BITE YOU. Shifting alliances! Risky dungeoneering! Complete open-ended quests, low and high-stakes alike, set in the streets, towers, and dark tunnels of Norvik. Become the city’s savior, its demise, or bumble your way into absolute power.
TRUST THE DICE. Let chance guide you! Roll to wrestle dwarves, steal anything in sight, or to keep yourself from looking like a complete fool. But remember, in true TTRPG fashion, failure can often be way more interesting.

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Debate yourself! Each Ability Stat has a conflicting viewpoint and loves to interrupt important conversations. No matter whose side you fall on, you'll complete quests in wonderfully ridiculous ways.

WIELD REALITY-SHAPING MAGIC. Use The Cleric’s power for unique narrative choices. Control minds for fun and profit. Detect secrets in the tunnels below or in the thoughts of your enemies. Speak with anyone, living or dead, just to see how they insult you.

TURN-BASED ENCOUNTERS. Clerics in Norvik are taught to use violence as a last resort. When the need does arise, a roll of the dice determines life or death. But you always have a bizarre solution to any problem, don’t you?

THE QUESTING TREE. Your quest log, skill tree, and mind map all at once. Each Quest Branch can take root in your mind and alter The Cleric’s playstyle through game-changing feats.

Reviews
Абсолютный пик. Лучше диско иллизиума в несколько раз. День выборов одна из самых счастливых сцен, которую я видел. Первая игра, на которой я плакал. Единственный минус, что в игре нет перевода, но хотя бы русификатор есть.
cringy reddit writing and unavoidable lectures about gender and men bad it was legit funny at moments, but the ideological preaching ruined this ( i gave it many chances )

Even if this one isn't perfect, you've gotta support the Disco-like genre just as a matter of principle, you know? The idea of Esoteric Ebb is to be Disco Elysium in Dungeons and Dragons, specifically Disco Elysium in someone's homebrew DND 3.5 SRD campaign. The art style is cartoonish and light, but the politics are fairly smart (even if they're somewhat overwrought). Is the writing as good as Disco's? No. ♥♥♥♥ no even. That's not even up for discussion. But it's certainly got its charm. The mystery of the bombed out tea shop is well explored, even though you are expected to be pretty familar with 3.5 to really understand the topics (characters will literally talk about 7th level spell slots). The fight sequences kind of sucked (that is not what the Disco system is made for), but I enjoyed the little plot twists and there were certainly a couple of memorable characters in there. The backdrop of the entire game is an election, which I thought the game handled very well. You can ask almost everything you meet who they're going to vote for in the election, which is often just hilarious. You encounter a Lich in a crypt. What do you say to it? "Who are you voting for in the election?" You capture the Assassin that's been after your life! What do you ask? "Who are you going to vote for in the election?" You cast Speak With the Dead. What do you ask the spirit of the dead? "Who would you have voted for in the election?" Good times. What worked less well was the weird meta narrative of the game literally being someone's homebrew campaign. There are a few points where the 'DM' has lines and there are weird things like one of the special magical languages in the game being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Spanish for some reason. A lot of characters will swear in a way that would be really awkward for that character's personality, except for the fact that this DM clearly swears a lot and lets that get into their dialogue. Which is interesting, but uh... I don't really know what the point of it was. But regardless, let's just be glad that Disco's influence is strong enough that it's producing more stuff like this. The Zaum-that-was will never come back, but we can at least be happy that Disco's light can still inspire a new generation. Final Score: 8.4109593467714/11
One of the best games I've played this year. Might not be for everybody, but if you like classic rpgs with great dialogue and choices, this games for you.
I am still not done with it at 20 hours played, but at this point I feel compelled to leave a positive review anyway. PROS: -The color scheme POPS so beautifully. If you really like hades 1 art then you are going to love every second of it. -Humor. Its funny, often. -The world building feels so thought out its crazy. I would LOVE to actually play through this campaign. Every bit of history is available and if you're smart enough in game you will know all about it. -One of the few games where the passage of time equates to me having more fun in a game. I typically dont like games that have "time limits" but its not really a time limit, it works more like the world around you is evolving. But i mean there is a literal time limit, i dont see how you could mess it up though. -Good entertainment mediums are often driven by great characters. This is one of those cases. The urge to speak with anyone and everyone will come over you. -The dialogue is fire. Its a dialogue game and it puts OUT. -Its D&D and Disco Elysium's baby. Takes pretty much only the good qualities of both with its own twist. -So much damn content! An absurd amount of things to try to find and think about. I cant decide if its a multiple play through required kind of game or its more akin to you get the same experience in your own stat-based ways deal. Which even that could most likely lead to another play through if you have a funny idea on how to distribute your stats. -Lots of food for thought within the world, its features and its contents. It probably helps if you have any kind of political drive but as a person who doesn't have one I still absolutely have plenty of time spent having fun thinking about the chronology of the worlds events and even its theoretical concepts. You wont be short of things to think about and engage with. NEUTRAL?: -It has its own, identifiable music. That music is more of an accent to the game. Id say overall its basically a pro but as far as it having iconic overture or music you could listen to outside of the game, it doesn't. Which is fine, and it works fine. -You can just save scum and re roll a situation over and over, but like, who are you people? Just don't give in to the temptation, failing can have its own fun outcomes that don't ever come with success. Its also just not that big a deal but to each their own. -So far there aren't any real big headscratchers (hard puzzles). The game is geared mostly towards having a fun time, which is a pro to me but if you were expecting a very hard challenge it will end up being a self imposed one. CONS: -Deadass? I really don't know. When it comes to this subjective review i cant really even possibly think of any. -Well ok i guess maybe it seems more aimed at guys demographically speaking. You play a guy and there's a big subplot of dating nice women. You don't have to at all but i haven't seen any option to date a guy. Also some of the women are kind of off limits due to whatever kind of compatibility problems.
i'm having so much fun and i sometimes feel smart with my skillz
