About
Explore a dream that refuses to end. As Zede Aksis, wander a surreal city that feels both alive and liminal, filled with digital citizens and absurd infrastructure. Can you find an escape? A way out of a world that remembers you better than you remember it?
Step into a city shaped by memory and code-- where the streetlights hum lullabies, and stairways spiral into forgotten neighborhoods. Escape from Lavender Island is an open-world exploration of the subconscious, a place where the unknown constantly unfolds before you. Every corner feels familiar, but nothing looks like you remember.
It’s a game about being lost in the in-between: the space between dreams and waking, between knowing who you are and who you might’ve been. As Zede, you collect fragments of language, art, and architecture that hint at a life outside the simulation-- but the deeper you go, the more the island reshapes to fit you.
The world itself is the story. The Lavender Corporation, an evil group from the mainland, works with an alien civilization to control the island and everyone who lives on it. To fight back, you'll accept missions, meet contacts, and find masks with different abilities.

I have now played all of Jeremy Couillard's games and this is by far the most involved. he makes very strange games but they are all very interesting, strange, and I think genuine. These games always have lots of stream of consciousness types of thoughts put into the game and a very unique art style. These are very much outsider art types of games that very causally and humorously touch on pretty taboo subjects and they dont have wide appeal. I love these games and will be supporting everything that this man makes if he retains the absurdist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Personal, weird, lonely, engrossing. Fantastic experience.
A mix of great exploration, inventive visual style, and esoteric musings on art, consumerism and loneliness. Absurd and surreal, strange, alien and relatable. Creativity for the sake of creating and expression. Mostly exploration and basic conversation, but it also has fun flying mechanics, some light platform challenges, and simple shooting type mini games. Some crude humour and adult themes, some deep thoughts, some mundane thoughts, many drug references, some absolute absurdity and silliness. This is definitely not for everyone, but if an abstract dreamlike trip seems up your alley then do give it a chance.
you can be a marble in this game. i love marbles.
Klippy game. I like the style, references and there is a lot to do.
Instantly a classic. As soon as you play for the first time you experience a transcendence experience. with every step and action comes a life changing moment.
I'm having a very bad trip rn
This game helped me discover I'm autistic. Thanks I think! (?????)
this game is awesome. up there with cruelty squad in strange visuals and some of the silliest missions i've ever played. loads of unnatural and fun abilities to play with and use to solve tasks would recommend, deserves more players
"i don't watch the news, i play games in bed all day, the world is ending" 💖💖🖤 🟩 wildly weird and filled with stuff 🔷 kinda janky 🔴 some abilities feel shallow and underutilized vibes: awake can't sleep loops: explore open world city collect-a-thon states: completed, 100% ramblings: it is very art mode, both in good and bad ways. my initial kneejerk impression was that it was just going to be weird for weird's sake, but it never actually felt that way. i really enjoyed it though sometimes it was a bit too much like the artist's existential ramblings mixed with real polemic energy, but i generally enjoyed those parts too and they're often what truly makes this game what it is. also great just how much stuff there is to explore here. i was genuinely amazed once i got the physics mask and realized most of the building interiors actually had stuff in them, was pretty neat. on the other had some of the masks felt very one note, only used for like one side thing and useless otherwise. it also seemed like the ending just kind of was the game petering out. otherwise quite the cool experience. verdicts: very much enjoyed it, really charmed me scores: 🏝️ out of 🤡 forms: 📟 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3726337783
