Escape Close Call is a game where you try to out run police, graphics remind me more of an older school game as its a top down driver similar to that of the ORIGINAL Grand Theft Auto Games, except for all you do is drive and avoid for the most part. The gameplay is pretty simple, and it sort of reminds me of Mobile Games like Crossy Road, in not only artstyle but gameplay as well in the sense that you will constantly being reseting the level to beat it. The game is challenging, it took me a minute to really get the hang of it. I think the tutorial could be a little better, It definitely a plus that it has Trading Cards, Achievements, Good Music, Full Controller support, decent graphics, and a bit of humor. There needs to be more unlockables, different cars etc, My biggest complaint and gripe is that you run out of gas, and that when you do you just sit there and wait for the cops to rape you. It would be cool if at least it showed an animation of you running out of the car trying to get away before you get killed if not letting us do it ourselves in a chance to get another car. Other than that its a fun little game. Pros: + Fun and Funny to make Cop Cars Crash + Decent Music + Trading Cards + Achievements + Full Controller Support + Can Be Challenging Cons: - When you run out of gas, you can't run away. - Occasional Crashes when reloading - Difficulty This review is a part of Steamified's Community Reviews program and the credit goes to Steamified for providing the key for review purposes. Didn't play much of the game yet, but I can tell you, it is a stress reliever.
This game itself is pretty fun and has a lot of stuff to unlock, but honestly, it's only worth it if you get it on sale. (hell, even a dollar on sale will be worth it.) The game itself currently has 25 vehicles to unlock, 12 powerups to use for your aid, or against your pursuers, and upgrades.
Divine fast-paced mayhem ! Get in your car, drive, avoid the police and rampage the world with your skill and plenty power-ups! What's really nice in there is that you can play the same game two different ways : Play safe, survive the longest time, and try to reach 10 minutes of survival and escape to win. But you can also play for the score, be overly aggressive, make insane combos, watch hundreds of police cars smash into each others and drive over hundreds of zombies to score high ! Don't let the 30 first minutes of playtime fool you, the beggining can be hard and you might not understand how everything works (I suggest you to read the short begginer's guide), but once you get the game fine between your hands, you can just enjoy the show and feel the adrenaline pumping into your veins !
Great game! It starts off hard and making you feel like a fool but once you start figuring it out, succeeding even for a minute make you feel like an epic driver. \ You get to make cops smash up their pretty little cars with lights, then watch them walk away as zombies, then you get to run them punks over, how cool is that? Drifts, slow motion, explosions, and groovy music. Simply awesome! 10/10, Would die again for the 8 second ride!
Great game!
渣比游戏,经常会画面卡死未响应
bad broken tutorial won't let you continue with the actual game, also the in game powerup menu is clearly a rough draft. 5000 other versions of this exact concept that do it cleaner
A good fun game that recaptures the chaotic fun of the original top down gta games. Unfortuately it's hard to recommend for vr at this stage as it's very rudimentary, menus are impossible to navigate without taking the headset off and pointing it in the right direction so that you can see the menus on the screen to use the mouse to choose the options. This also means it's very difficult to see your objectives as they only show up for a short time when you start the game, and you need to spend this time getting the headset in place as the game starts pretty soon after. Xbox controller is also not well implemented for the menus, it works great for the gameplay, just not for menu navigation. Graphics are basic, obviously the style that they're aiming for, but I'd hope the finished product will be a bit more polished, and the flashing double vision that you get sometimes is horrendous in VR, it really does need to be toned down. I haven't put a negative review despite these issues because the core game is a lot of fun, and obviously a work in progress. Once everything is fixed up properly it'll be a great time waster!
