I really enjoyed this game early access and I hope to get back to it to play the full release soon. It has an historical and mythological setting at the same time, there are collectibles, different playable characters, bosses... I played this demo the first time for about 5 hours, with some optional exploration but without going for a completionist path. I have played on Steam Deck: at the time I write this review, the game is said to be unsupported, but it run flawlessly out of the box, not a single crash (graphics settings on high; I have tried setting very high but it was too resources consuming so I got back to high). I had only a bug that got me stuck in the story, but reloading last save fixed it. Pros: - Turkish historical and mythological setting. - I played with Turkish voices and English subtitles. I do not know Turkish so I cannot really tell, but my impression is that the voice acting is good. - 3 different characters playable in the demo (even 4 if you want to count two versions of the same character as distinct, I do not want to tell more to avoid spoilers). - Collectible codex pages, that tell us about Turkish history and culture, so that foreign player such as myself can get into the story with a better understanding. - Soundtrack. It is good, not exceptional yet, but I liked it. I hope to listen to more interesting tracks in the full release, and I would also gladly pay for a soundtrack DLC if it is up to my expectations. Cons: - The combat system has the right features, but need to be balanced differently. I have played on hardest difficulty and it was nothing of a challenge at all. The only thing that stopped me for a while was the first boss, but it felt more like bad design than a real challenge (I have found it impossible as long as I tried fighting it quick; once I stopped and fought calmly, it got trivial, the enemy often was beside me without even attacking, just waiting). - A few combat features that I am unsure if they are intentional or bugs. For example, with the two playable male characters I am unable to roll way from the enemy if I lock the visual on it: locking the enemy switch the roll command to dodge. However, the female character was able to roll even with locked enemy (and thus was unable to dodge instead). In some other game, I am able to do both actions with the same button: press it once the character dodge, press it twice and it rolls away. Moreover, I can never interrupt my own attacks: if I press attack, see a yellow attack on me and press block timely, I get hit because my own attack keeps going and the character do not block. - Too many tutorials. We do not need to be told everything, let us explore the game on our own please. There is something to push? Just put a hint to tell me which button I should press to interact with that thing: I shall press it and see what the interaction does by myself (assuming I have not already guessed it...), no need to interrupt the game with a full dialog box. I can upgrade buildings in the settlement? Cool, but do not force me to go seeing each one of them: just tell me once and let me explore. Or give me some meaningful mission that give me a real reason to go find the buildings, not just "go speak with this character". Thanks for this nice game!
It fun, great historical back drop, and interesting story. Just waiting for the full release
There are these annoying tutorial pop-ups that keep spamming. They block the interface and kills the immersion. No way to disable it. They even have timers or something that keeps pausing the game.
