About
Ergo is a physics-based puzzle game, developed from the ground up specifically for virtual reality.
You play as an recently employed member of Ergo; a secretive company specialising in secret agents. Before you can be sent on any real missions, you will be required to go through some challenging training...
An error occurred and you were loaded into the wrong training application. Here, Ergo's environments are simulated through virtual reality and with the primary focus of interactive puzzles and obstacles. The difficulty and uniqueness of these tests increase exponentially.
This will be your training grounds, As you explore and complete levels, the environment will merge with the Ergo office space, resulting in the introduction of many new fun obstacles, environmental hazards, and mechanics being introduced as you progress onwards through the training application.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/GiVJauZBLp4 This is a neutral recommendation. Honestly, I don't think this game as is, is currently a good physics-based puzzle game. However, it does have potential and there are some enjoyable parts to this game. Keep in mind, I ran into a game-breaking bug on the 16th level (the level would reset when I would try to place cube). There are 20 total levels and the developer says it should take 1-2 hours to complete the game. I would say this game is a puzzle platformer. There are some physics involved, but I don't think the physics are good. This game is obviously inspired by Portal (so far no portals though). The main problem with this game is that the first 11 levels are just simply too easy. There's no challenge whatsoever (other than having to find the hidden buttons on the second level). I found the 12th level to be rather challenging, in fact, I couldn't solve it and had to look up the solution on YouTube. Unfortunately, the solution was a new game mechanic that hadn't been introduced before. The narrator did mention flying, but I had no idea you could jump on the cube and then use the gravity gun to fly yourself on the cube. I did find levels 13-16 to be more fun, but again, other than this one new mechanic, I was never stumped. At least not until I came across the game-breaking bug on the 16th level. The game is running on the Unreal Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. You do have full locomotion, as well as smooth and snap turning. Overall, I just think it's a problem when the majority of the levels require no thought in a puzzle game. It's also a problem when you face a game-breaking bug. However, this game does have potential. Like I said, I was enjoying levels 13-16 a lot more than the previous ones. This game is budget-priced and in Early Access, so it may be worth the $7 USD normal price to some, but I don't think the quality & quantity of content match the price currently.
Note: I received Ergo for free as a play tester
Ergo is a puzzle platformer, akin to portal the game’s main objective is to pass through different tests, as you progress through the game you may realise all is not what it may seem… This game has a rather simplistic art style, some may not like that, but I feel it does not take away from the gameplay and story, do note that the game is not fully complete and does have future content in the works, think of it like a portal Minus the portals, many of the puzzles revolve around using a cube to hold down a button to get a door open to get to the elevator, however getting to and from the end of a level is where the true fun is. The game has a decent level of intractability, within limits of course, some objects are glued to surfaces to prevent cheating. You can mess with office chairs, throw and break plates, that is probably more intractability than most would expect from a silly cube puzzle game. For what the game is and how much it costs I would say with out a doubt if you have a VR headset to purchase the game, it may be short for me coming in at about 3 hours but it has a fully voice acted story that kept me engaged entirely throughout.

I personally would give the game a 6.8 out of 10
Great indie game. Considering the scope of the dev team working on this, it's very impressive mechanically and implements groundbreaking concepts and ideas I haven't seen in other VR games of it's scale. I would suggest playing this game purely for those mechanics but it's oddly charming in a way which is hard to verbalise. In short - get this game. You won't regret it :)
Great game. Great use of physics and the puzzles are actually rather creative. Easy recommend.
The game is funny with a few hidden secrets and different ways to make it through each puzzle depending on your creativity Similar to a portal type game feel but in vr 10/10
I love this game... kinda. Do you see how we can LOVE someone like so bad but also HATE him so freaking bad? it like that. This game is really fun and well made in some part. Grabbing feels kinda nice, climbing is quite good when it not going insane or just compleatly stop to work, and the voice feel a bit like text to speach but is overall very well made, and lot of other things that are good or just well made. Tho there is one thing, ONE THING i just can't, it make me so mad, and it trying to figure out what is on purpose and what is a glitch or just try to understand what to do. The further i go into the game the more hard it is to sometime understand what to do or if something is normal or just a glitch! I don't know if it is just me but damn there some level i can't go through cause i don't know what to do since everything is just unclear. I know is a early acces and than something are suposed to look like a beta or that it just glitch but please give more hint to what is something that is suposed to happen or something to keep track of what we need to do, were to go and thing like that but devs if you are reading this please fix some things
i like game, i like knowing im stupid. ergo/ergo
Very fun and very Portal-inspired puzzle game. Definitely worth the asking price, it's got some good humor and good puzzles.
A wonderfully addictive VR-Puzzler that feels like a game mash-up of Portal & Human Fall Flat. I'd recommend this game to anyone that loves puzzles and is comfortable with smooth-VR motion mechanics.
