A relaxing 3D biome creation game that’s very forgiving (no constant hands-on adjustments/management necessary to avoid disasters, etc.) and will evolve slowly by itself at any stage if you need a break from creating for a while. Lots of different biomes to create over time by unlocking and introducing new creatures and plants as you progress. Quaint low-poly plants and creatures grow and populate over time. The creature sound effects and editable background music are also quite good. Existing flora and fauna can evolve into new species with your intervention by satisfying environmental conditions and tweaking genetics, all of which is not too complicated to do. Made a long time ago (7 years) but still looks nice and plays smoothly. Recommended for a chilled out experience. EDIT: Almost forgot to mention that thanks to an excellent user interface and in-game information system, you never get stuck wondering how to progress and/or create something new. This really helps with progression and thus allows you to experience all that the game has to offer.
Very cute but can be hard the first time playing it, sandbox mode is great once you unlock it.
Equilinox is a fun, cute and calm game, not much to get frustrated with and a good time waster. Getting to make all sorts of biomes, messing with some of the genetics of both animals and plants, unlocking new things via either genetic manipulation or from cohabitance with flora or fauna. Overall it's simple but not too simple. Only complaint is there really needs to be more animals, plants, and maybe even biomes. (it definitely has a good selection it's just after a long while you wish for more)
