About
Join Noche L. Grim as she tests Shaylin Gear's newest invention in this short two-hour game. Noche will have to jump, run, and glide through challenge after challenge in this mini 3D platformer. With various types of platforms to land on or avoid, such as falling blocks, rotating cubes, or platforms that move each time you jump, it'll require skill and timing to maneuver through the obstacle course that is each level.
To unlock new levels, you need to collect the golden anglerfish scattered about. You can upgrade your movement abilities by collecting coins, and there are 100 coins per level. Unlock abilities such as double dash, triple jump, or faster running. Plus, there are secret areas with an extra life in each level.
Can you make it through all 15 levels and the special bonus stage? Find out in this free to play mini-adventure! This story is a spin-off from the "Epics of Noche" book series and takes place during Book Eight. However, you don't need to have read the books to enjoy this adventure.

Bu çerezlik ve kısa, 2 saatlik platform oyununda Shaylin'in zihin tarayıcısını test ediyor.
Epics of Noche, Brain Busted is an indie platformer with familiar movement physics to other games. It does a good job of feeling unique in that sense for a game that I presume was made by one person. Do I recommend this game though? Not exactly, you have to be interested by the steam page I'd say. The gameplay idea is pretty straight forward and easy to understand and it wasn't even that bad to play. It's clear the developer(s) have a vision for the game's feel as it's the strongest point the game has. I was caught by surprise at the movement tech available considering how the maps look, spamming glider lets you glide even better than holding it and I found that to be a lot of fun to just mess around with. To unlock new levels you have to find these hidden gold fish, I actually didn't really like that feature as it forces you to go looking around where my main focus when I was playing was the movement and trying to 'speedrun' the levels, but you can't really do that since if you miss the fish you can't progress even if you clear the level. I think a better functionality for the gold fish would be something else because it's what ended up stopping me playing the game in the end. Locking players out of finishing the game because of their playstyle isn't really what I would like to see personally, especially considering that the game shows you and tracks your completion times on each level. There is quite a lot of content in there, albeit very early development feeling. The game is marked as released on steam and not early access or I would give the benefit of the doubt when it comes to how easy it is to glitch yourself out of the map. I'm not really upset about that though, I like getting out the map in games I just wish it didn't feel quite like just an option A or B with B being breaking the game by going out of the map, it's really that easy in most levels. Overall the game has a purpose, a progression system or two and it even sprinkles some lore here and there which I didn't much care for myself but is still a nice to have. I think considering Epics of Noche, Brain Busted is a free to play game it's worth giving a shot if you're interested by what you see on the steam page and I'd be interested to see how the game develops over time if they do decide to update it at all.
