About
A two time manipulation puzzle game. Two robots, Heavy and Light, have their own timelines that can independently record and rewind actions. Solve hundreds of puzzles across 12+ chapters, learning increasingly time-bending mechanics in the process.
Heavy and Light are maintenance robots working onboard the Chrono Station, a fantastical installation in low orbit that takes time from places where it's not needed and transfers it to where it is.
Tragically, the station has suffered from chronic understaffing - so when one day the Chrono Helix catastrophically fails, they're the only robots available to deal with the crisis. Flung to the edge of the Chrono Station, they find that the Chrono Station has been blown into hundreds of puzzles, containing increasingly exotic matter the closer you get to the Reactor Lab - and that their timelines have been isolated from one another. They can now move and rewind independently, and learning every consequence and nuance of this will be necessary to make it back in time and fix things before they get worse.
A turn based, tile based thinky puzzle game. No dexterity elements or hidden information - Build a mental model of how the game works to succeed.
Hundreds of puzzles across 12+ chapters, each one introducing new elements, from being able to break and come back to life to exotic matter that alters the very concept of rewinding itself.
Copy, paste and scrub through replays, so you'll never go 'wait, I forgot how I did that' again.
Gain Insight mode. Stuck? Check out a puzzle that's an easier or remixed version - you still have to solve it yourself, and you might gain the necessary insight in the process.
Advanced and post-game puzzles, for those ready to master space-time itself.
A level editor and Community Puzzles tab. Hundreds of custom puzzles made by fans, and if you come up with something I haven't seen before, it can be included in the game!

9/10 Very clever time manipulation puzzles with two characters. What is it: A turn based and grid based time manipulation puzzle in which you control two different characters, each with their own limited action history. The protagonists, Heavy and Light, are two robots tasked with fixing the Chrono Station, which unfortunately suffered a critical breakdown, messing up their timelines. Now they can individually move back and forth through time, performing and rewinding actions at will. As their names imply, Light cannot push Heavy out of the way, but Heavy can easily push and carry Light around. Each time a robot moves, all the changes happening in the environment are recorded, and they can be undone at a later time, from a different configuration, if possible. Light can move left, and normally a rewind would just have it move back to the right, but meanwhile Heavy can move Light someplace else, or merely stand on the right, blocking the rightwards move, which means that Light is now one spot to the left without having spent an action point. And this is what makes the puzzles difficult: they have very few action points. Understanding how you can trick the rewind mechanism to gain free movement is key, since you often have to move many steps away with a robot that has two, one, or even no action points. But that is just the base mechanism. Later chapters add even weirder stuff, including one way gates, one way gates that also block rewind moves, boxes that do and don’t rewind, flames that kill and medicine that heals, spots where time doesn’t pass, and other wonderful mechanics. Can you solve all the puzzles and put back the Chrono Helix? Yes? Well, buckle up, even weirder stuff shows up in the post-game chapters. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3353191695 Even though the levels are challenging, this game is approachable by casual players as well, because it never forces them to figure out the solution on their own to proceed. The generous unlocking of levels, as well as the option to just unlock everything at any time, means there's always another level to try. If a level hides its intended solution too well, try a “gain insight” easier version of the level. If that’s still not enough, you can replay step by step the author’s solution to understand the trick. Even if you just watch the author's solutions, you’ll learn a lot about puzzle solving and puzzle design. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3353189968 Before being released on Steam, this had several months of availability on Itch, so it arrives in an already very good state, with few issues, great QoL, and an active community that already contributed many hundreds of levels. While Steam Workshop is not supported, it comes with great copy/paste sharing of both custom levels and the solutions of any level. Found a surprising solution or bug? Copy/paste it so anyone can try it. Need help with a level? Get a solution or a starting point from a friend and copy/paste it. This is a free game, so it's not made by a company trying to minimize costs and maximize profits, but a passion project from a puzzle lover for other puzzle lovers, and it shows. Most of the usual things I expect in a good game are present: unlimited undo, even through restarts, plenty of video, audio and gameplay settings, smart achievements, solution sharing, level editing, both smart hints and step by step solutions, good-enough-progress unlocking of chapters, full input customization, and so on. Excellent job! How hard is it: Moderate to very hard. How long is it: 12 main chapters and 7 extra chapters, 400+ levels in the main campaign, although almost half of them are “extra” harder levels or variants of standard levels. Most of these levels are doubled since they come with an easier “insight” version or a harder “remix” version. Tens, if not hundreds of hours needed to solve all of them. All standard levels in a chapter are unlocked. Unlocking the extra levels and the next chapter requires solving around two thirds of the standard levels. Many levels have a “gain insight” easier level for a gentle hint toward a solution, and most of them have a full solution which you can replay. There are also hundreds of community levels as well. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3353189595 Level design: Great! Lots of levels with different mechanics, many with extra variants. Each chapter showcases a core mechanic and the many types of puzzles it can support. While there is no explicit rulebook, all the items are described in the level editor. Perhaps the abundance of mechanics may be overwhelming for some, but I still consider it a plus. Quality: Excellent. Great mechanics and levels. Undo and redo, even through restarts, separate from the rewind ability. Solution saving and replaying. Good level select and menus in general. Good controls, fully configurable, works with either keyboard, mouse or controller (although the level editor requires a mouse). Level editor. Good settings, including some accessibility. No cloud saving yet. Plenty of achievements, including tricky ones that require thinking outside the box. Small, fast and responsive. Worth the price: A free game with hundreds of hours of good content? Of course! Most positive aspect for me: Clever puzzles. Most negative aspect for me: No quick access to a dictionary of all the mechanics. What would make it better: Steam workshop support. Cloud saving.
An amazingly good puzzle game with great quality of life (including unlimited undoes, keybindings and saved replays) and it's free to boot! The core concept of manipulating move history is a bit confusing at first and makes a lot more sense after playing the game than reading about it and the early levels do a good job of demonstrating how the game mechanics work. I strongly recommend giving this game a try if you enjoy puzzle games at all and preserving through chapter 0 (the game will start to make sense). Entwined Time contains several hundred puzzles, with a lot of these puzzles being Standard levels introducing new elements or being tutorial-lite, making for an approachable difficulty curve. The Advanced levels are not a lie and are much harder, requiring a deeper understanding of the basic movement mechanics, but the game does a good job of introducing these tricks. Most levels have a built-in hint system (called "insight") that shows a simplified version of the puzzle demonstrating the key to the solution, a feature that more puzzle games should offer (you can even peek into the author's solution if needed!). Don't worry about your brain exploding, you can always rewind time!
步骤向间操控谜,一个小时刚把没有任何加成的第一章打完,往后的十几个章节怕是要把我的脑子烧掉罢。
На 8-ми битной приставки игры были интересней чем эта.

"Entwined Time" is a somewhat complex premise for a game. You solve puzzles across multiple chapters, learning increasingly complex time-bending mechanics. Sounds rich and deep, but the way this is presented as a simple 2D/minimalist/pixelcrap game deterred most gamers. What do you do in the game? The time mechanic is simpler than it sounds, your moves are listed for each of the robots you control and the game is just about rewinding/winding forward until you get the movement sequences right. It's actually quite boring after the first couple of levels. The graphics aren't great, simple pixely looking minimalist/bare bones/minimum effort stuff. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. I mean.. the developer couldn't even afford to buy a mouse. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Great puzzles and free
