Unusual game. I've been looking for something in the sci-fi genre for a long time. Interesting gameplay, RPG elements worked out well. In other words, the interface is also worth working on. I recommend!

If I paid for this i would have been happy. Great game and addictive.
"Entity Researchers: Prologue" is not a game, it's an advertisement for the game "Entity Researchers", so I guess while I review this advert I also have to do some effort researching Entity Researchers (review on that to be forthcoming at some point). So this advertisement is for a GameMaker Studio game (ugh, I know, it's cancer), with some of the ugliest and most deplorable visuals I've seen, so I think a lot of kudos have to go to the developer for this, it's amazing to see video games being made by the legally blind. I mean, I assume that's the excuse for the graphics. Because no sane person would publish a game that looks this bad, so I assume the developer never saw what this looks like before mashing the submit button on Steam Direct. Anyway all you do here is fight enemies and wander around, and by "fighting" we mean grinding ridiculous circle clicking minigames that, well, just aren't fun. And apparently the full game is just more of the same, so you don't really need to go past this advertisement. Truly amazing that they managed to make the gameplay even worse than the visuals. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this advertisement to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
This game seems like it has potential except it's pretty boring as it is. The point and click style of map movement is similar to Diablo I, as in s.l.o.w. The combat system reminded me of playing Poke'mon with a minigame attached to the battle system. It was a little interesting at first but quickly became boring. Overall I think this game could go somewhere, I rely enjoy turn based-strategy games, in truth; I've had more fun playing a slot machine. It would be neat to see where this game goes in the future.
Before I played Entity Researchers: Prologue, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
The prologue is sweet. I would say you might go for it if you like "unusual" battle mechanics (Undertale comes to minds, just because how odd it is visually). And it has bangers soundtrack, reminds me of Vectorman. I would love to see market mechanics expanded: 1. placing orders to sell/buy items at a particular price; 2. economy influenced by your actions / other operator's actions / "random" world events.
I went into this expecting something about research and exploration with pausable turn-based combat or something similar. It's not, in the first five minutes you're constantly doing timed puzzles that expect you to precisely use the mouse. The first is a battle where you're presented with a selection of moves and then when you select one, you're supposed to click on the (fast moving) target when it's in the right place. I tried for a good five minutes and finally started randomly clicking everything on the screen. Finally something got me out of screen, but there was absolutely zero feedback about what had happened. Then the next screen you had to click on another fast moving target when it was in a precise area. After a couple of minutes I finally did that. Then it took me back to the first screen again. That's when I gave up. If you like fast paced precision games, then you might like this one. If you don't have good reflexes, like me, then you really aren't going to be able to play it. I don't know where the thinking and planning part comes in, but obviously I didn't get that.
Bizarre setting, funky music, fun combat, free. Get it, it's weird and good.
This game knows the vibe it wants to give off, and it does so with flying colors. Literally. If you like intentional jank you'll find it pretty charming. Worst I can say about it is that it seems too easy, and reviews on the full game seem to agree. Might be harder if you didn't have so many equipment slots early on.
