Reviews
The gameplay on this game is lackluster. The controls are meh. Resolution cannot be adjusted. Keybinds and controls cannot be adjusted. The developer put this on Steam November 13, 2014, knowing full well he is NOT working on it and it is NOT being developed. Valve should be held responsible for this level of fraud. The developer stopped work on this project and admitted as much as far back as Mar 8 2013, 3:08pm (1 year 8 months before Valve allowed it to be put up). Link to developer stating the game was no longer being developed (March 8, 2013): http://www.desura.com/games/ensign-1/forum/thread/i-work-for-filament-now And the developer's full comment history on Desura: http://www.desura.com/members/onionman/comments SteamDB history for all the builds, changes, etc (notice a distinct lack of new builds): https://steamdb.info/app/312310/history/ -- 6 months and the author has not even responded to support requests, or posts here on Steam, or on Desura. http://www.desura.com/games/ensign-1/forum/board/general-discussion http://www.desura.com/games/ensign-1/forum/thread/onionman-will-there-be-any-further-updates-to-this-game1 http://www.desura.com/games/ensign-1/forum/board/support http://www.desura.com/games/ensign-1/forum/thread/onionman-will-there-be-any-further-updates-to-this-game http://steamcommunity.com/app/312310/discussions/0/613956964603040846/ -- More than 1 year and not a single update. Of course not because as we showed above the developer just threw this on Steam for a cash grab and Valve has allowed it to continue fully aware of this as I have already reported this title and they have taken 0 action. That makes them 100% culpable for anyone duped by this author starting the day I posted this review (the same day I initially reported these and other facts to Valve).

(Dec 1st 2014) First impression after playing through the first two singleplayer missions: Gameplay: 11 canned missions involving space dogfights and egoshooting (you can switch roles). Graphics and sounds: see screenshots and trailers, very lowpoly, looks like 1995 Storyline: negligible [strike]I can see how this might be interesting in multiplayer:[/strike] you can move around the ship and switch from the pilot seat to a turret position etc. [strike]But currently, it's not networked.[/strike] Enemy ships have shield and hull, and you get a laser that is efficient for shield and one that is efficient for hull. (You need to lead the "lasers".) There's also a "creative mode" (aka editor?), but it is undocumented. (Press F1.) You may be tempted to buy this game if you like space dogfights. [strike]I recommend that you check out the demo first; it is available on [url=http://www.desura.com/games/ensign-1]Desura[/url] until the developer is done "figuring out how this Steam thing works."[/strike] Update: third mission completed, Rookie difficulty. Bugs. I can't man one of the turrets of the frigate, using a health dispenser I got stuck in the scenery, and the enemy is futilely firing at me even though it doesn't have line-of-sight. Still, it's sort of fun. The game seems to support Xbox controllers; would like to connect a flightstick, but have no idea if that would work. [i]Update 4/2018: the game has left Early Access with no changes, hence no hope of multiplayer. Also, Desura is broken.[/i]
This game hit Steam years ago, got some updates in early access, but hasn't seen an update since 12/11/16. As of today, 4/23/18, it claims to be "released," yet still says v0.500 inside the game itself. At the present time, do not buy this.
Game is poor it isnt even being developed anymore not sure why its in early access?
"Fully Released" again.... Still in version 0.5 I have owned this game since if first hit Desura, and hasn't really had any updates since then. I would NOT recommend buying this game as it is still in early Alpha.
Dead on arrival.
no.
Do you even call this a "game" ?! Everything on it is weird. Not working, or bugged. Would play again 5/10
uses the skyrim engine and is a flawless mmomoba that competes with WoW and LoL at the same time. If you want to you can install mods from the FNaF launcher to unlock bonus pony rainbow ♥♥♥♥♥. I think it's a really good game and a solid art. I traded a $300 Karambit knife for this and have never looked back.
