I am OBSESSED with this game. I cannot wait to get this in full release and then play cross play. If you love Valheim, you would love this. Whilst it does have villager NPC's who are both useful and irrelevant, it does feel less alone and building an adorable little town is one of my favourite things. The build mechanics are phenomenal and you can build in existing or make your own. I both love and hate that the map is pre-gen and not game by game gen, but it has been a blast either way. I recall the absolute FEAR i had when we first started and were in a higher area and I was hiding because I knew if I was seen I would've been absolutely destroyed. This is an incredible co-op game, and I cannot wait for the full release and to play this with my friends.
its too bad!
Wish this game didn't drop at the same time as palword because it is massively underrated. Think minecraft, elden ring, and valheim had a baby.
Enshrouded is a great exploration and build/crafting game. You can focus more on the exploration and character development (skill point distribution) than building, or you can focus more on the building. I'm not much of a builder in this game, so I the incredibly detailed cool stuff I've seen people do blew my mind, and at the same time, when you start to get used to the building, you notice the things people build are just simple, it's just that you need patience and to play a bit with creating patterns (and looking at reference to copy from). You can be a cool builder too! Unless you like to explore more instead and come back to your basic hut, like me! lol You progress the game by exploring, doing the guide quests, finding npcs that unlock crafting in theme with what their role is. How to unlock things specifically I am not totally sure, but the gyst of it, is that some trigger makes the npc gain a new quest, then you have to go fetch the in-world item to craft the thing for the npc, and boom you got a new crafting station... and then you can wait for the thing to spawn again to make another crafting station, if you need more than one to speed up materials processing (some you'll want more than one, others you only need 1 of for the rest of the game). I'm just saying, i think the pace of unlocking the next gated crafting tier thing is well done that it doesnt pressure you to go explore high level areas yet. You will have lots to explore in the current tier and lower tier areas, because the world is quite large. I give this game a solid 9/10, almost perfect.
Great Fun!
Lovely soundtrack, fun gameplay, massive map, and solid plot. Blend of Souls-like and V Rising, with an expansive talent tree. Curious what full release will have in October.
