I have seen this game grow and grow. It has come along way.I think it has a lot of good game play.
Game showed promise, but after almost two years without an update this game appears dead. Changed from positive to negative as a result of the stalled development. Should development continue I'll revert back to Positive. Oh so very Alpha at the moment, Very basic textures and options at this stage. However despite the "bare bones" the game play is engaging - you certainly have the incentive to automate as soon as possible! Don't expect much in the way of a tutorial and the tool tips are not instructive for the most part. Looking forward to seeing the game develop and hope the developer does well out of this game. Note this is very much an alpha and I've had a few crashes so far...so save often!
Very cool, I really love any games of factory type for sure :-)
I don't usually write reviews, but since this game does have a lot of potential and was pretty much just released, I thought I might as well. I'll split this in two parts, my review and a short section of tips that I have found helpful while playing. Review: This game, as others have already mentioned is very similar to modded Minecraft. You would find the same functions if you combined TerraFirmaCraft, Immersive Engineering and Create. However, it's not just a copy, it is it's own game and hopefully will run better than mashing 200 mods together. Right now there is very little content and while it certainly is fun, there is no end goal really aside from completing the technology tree, no challenges, no hostile npcs, etc. Of course, I expect this to change with over time since it does seem like the game is recieving updates. I do see much potential in the engineering aspect of it since it seems like speeds, torque, etc. will all be relevant and not just, plug machine into power and done. I could further go on a massive rant of what I would like to see included, but that is for another time. Long story short, there is not much now, but there is certainly potential. For $7 (what it is currently) and a chance of this becoming a fleshed out and polished game, it's worth it in my opinion. Tips: - Make a lot of tools, not just one. Tools break really quickly in this game and you will want at least three at any one time for mining or cutting down trees. - Write down your coordinates before exploring since there is no markers for your map. - Plant twenty or so potatoes since you will go through a lot of cooked potatoes (currently the only food) while mining or cutting down trees. - Copper is easy to find, go for that technology since they have double the durability of wood tools and wood is harder to get. - Right now you don't have to worry about hostile npcs, so no need to build underground or to build a house unless you want to. It will take a lot of time though if you do.
Give this one a few more years to cook and hopefully it'll be worthwhile.
please revised graphics, my pc just manages to keep the game running at 8 fps, minecraft is also full Ez but i love that game. <3
This is very, very early access. The whole world is just one single biome that just seems to repeat itself every few hundred feet or so, so there's no real reason to explore, and the graphics and animations are very basic. However I will say that the skeleton of a solid automation game is there, but it needs a heck of a lot more meat on its bones to be worth playing. If you're debating whether to buy this, my advice would be to wishlist it for now and then consider buying once it's fully released.
Not bad at all.
