Engaging Destiny

So far only 30min into the game and it's been doing alright but can this be YouTube friendly if I blur out the ♥♥♥♥♥ lol. Trying a walkthrough of the game and glad I did not stop at the Demo. Thanks for putting the game together I been having a lot of laughs with it.

Super fun, cgs were... verrryyyy nice... I probable could have completed this in 4 hours if not for all the extra time i spent on the cgs

WARRICK MY BELOVED

I was able to 100% this game in around 7 hours. What a treat! They advertise this game as a platformer, and it *somewhat* is, but it is not a serious one by any means. You're not going to get intense platforming like Celeste. I would say this game is more of a visual novel with walking around. But where it lacks in gameplay it makes up for in story. Yes, this a gay game with rated R scenes. But the story I thought was what intrigued me more. The characters are really well done and have layers to them, there is world building, with deeper themes which makes the characters feel more real. I did feel like the game did drone on at some points, and the controls weren't that well optimized for controller and the lack of adjusting the keybinds really irked me at some moments. The game features a classic style of saving, you can do it at anytime though, but I say do it often because I have had a bug happen to me and had to restart and redo all of my progress. I think the game is good for the 7 hours of gameplay I got, any longer and I think this review would've gone differently. Now, one of the BIGGEST things that I loved about the story was how the love interest of Calen (Warrick) had a deep influence on those Calen talked to. They all mention him in some way and it seems like he had a huge impact on the small town you are in for the game. I love how that really fleshes out how everyone affects each other, you have opinions of the town on others, things like that. It is such a fleshed out world that it makes you want to play a sequel of some kind or even another game set in that universe (which they do have). I think the "scenes" were well done, with variety. Though I do think some were WAY better than others, but maybe it was not for me. The music was great, the ending even better, and it seemed to flow well into one another. Overall, I think the game is a very solid game and easily recommended to get into, especially if you want something, short sweet, and steamy. 8/10, would recommend!

Engaging Destiny is an immersive, thoughtfully made story adventure game that sets a new standard for gay/queer visual novels. While many gay/queer visual novels focus solely on stereotypes and unrealistic sexual encounters, Engaging Destiny creates realistic gay/queer relationships with emotional intimacy and slow-burn attraction, friendship and more. There is sexual content, but it is neither the focus nor the "extra". It is integrated into the relationships you build with the characters in the story, and reflect real-world gay/queer sexual experiences. This is something that the genre sorely lacks in favour of cheaply made pornography or shallow "Mills & Boon" style 'romance'. I would however like to see some trans representation, and wonder if the publisher would have any appetite for including or, maybe prominently featuring gay/queer trans men and trans masc non-binary people. This is something the genre sorely lacks and there is enormous interest for this kind of content. Engaging Destiny was so good I bought Endless Bounty, too. Recommend!

喜欢圆满结局的爱情故事。 和前作不同，这次没有多选一的情况，真爱还是会给唯一的他。即便和其他角色发展关系也能很自然的提及那个他，表达也只限于喜欢，是好朋友的程度，感觉还是蛮新奇的，尤其是大量furry作品都乱的一塌糊涂的情况下。 角色信息量都很大，故事也很完整，每个角色都有自己独特的魅力，包括一般路过npc也有几个很有意思的。 跑图有点容易迷路，尤其是在洞穴场景，不过体验还算好，就是要小心那些需求跳跃的地点和隐藏道路以防错过东西。解密的部分浅尝辄止，没什么难度，也算给跑图加了点小娱乐性。 故事发展上因为玩家很自由，也没有什么日期限制在卡你，要注意天色对事件的出现存在影响。 如果能自行调整节奏的话，避免死盯着一个NPC聊聊到没话聊为止，故事观感或许能更上一层楼，但看到还有东西聊哪个玩家能坐得住呢（ 拿着不同道具去和NPC们说话都有专门的文本这点很好评，而且有些隐藏CG也是靠一些不是主线相关的道具在触发的。 做成就的时候注意在开局的时候一定要把东西都找全，和NPC好好说话，还有土豆成就要做的内容一定得做，一旦离开第一幕后就回不去了，后面成就要做就得重开咯（说的就是土豆和苹果） 总之，喜欢老爹，还有大家w

[b]WOOF ![/b] This is a very relaxing adventure game with a soft plateformer, despite having the feeling that you are time limited, it doesn't seem to be the case. There's some funny hidden items you can show to a lot of NPCs and each will have a different reaction. The writing is pretty good, I like the "Banjo-Kazooie SFX" talk because it fits the characters very well. Bonus points for how cute and expressive the various NPCs look while being small pixelated sprites, it says a lot about the artist(s) skills. The music is pretty good, the visuals are lovely and very readable.
