About
As a hardcore tower defense enthusiast, I set out to create a non-traditional roguelike tower defense game. Endless Tower Defense: Survive is a game I developed over two months using the 『CliCli』. If you're interested in discussing, providing feedback, or just having a laugh, feel free to join our QQ group: 907832371.
No need for rapid operations – just click to enjoy the idle roguelike fun. Face endless waves of monsters, equip weapons, upgrade the tower soul to harvest the horde, and gather resources to upgrade your tower and soul. Dual-wield your tower and soul to defeat bosses and experience the ultimate thrill of endless mowing.
With nearly a hundred unique weapons and upgrade effects, enjoy the thrill of mowing down enemies while stacking top-tier roguelike experiences, ensuring each battle delivers double the excitement. Balance your weapon combinations and upgrade effects to optimize offense and defense, allowing for infinite mowing and stress relief.
Explore the abyss to gather soul stones and enhance your tower soul for combat assistance. Whether dual-wielding with separate attack paths or merging them into the ultimate defense tower, you'll experience the ultimate mowing thrill.
Against different enemies, remember the counter rules: Metal crushes medium armor; Piercing counters light armor; Magic defeats heavy armor; Siege breaks reinforced armor; Chaos weapons treat all equally, ignoring armor! Use the right weapon to mow down enemies faster and more efficiently!

"Endless Defense: Survival" is not really a traditional tower defense even though it was sold as one. This is a much shallower and more trivial effort where you just look after one tower, and the enemies come in waves directly at you instead of you needing to worry about pathing and stuff. It's shallow and unengaging. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. On the topic of visuals, the weak looking 2D retro assets seem like they'd be more at home in a browser game or a mobile app (I had to check because the janky little animations look like they're straight out of a Chinese Three Kingdoms browser cash shop game). 3D graphics accelerators hit the mainstream of PC gaming in the mid 1990's with cards like the ATI Rage and Voodoo3D, there's no excuse for such poor 2D graphics in 2025. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. This was made with the utterly awful "Construct" game construction kit... this is a "no-code" construction kit where you just drag and drop stuff and fiddle with a few menus to make primitive, minimum viable product games. That explains to some extent why this is so bad... no-code toys like Construct let anyone, especially people who aren't qualified to and should probably never make games, make them anyway. Combine this with the zero-QA "Steam Direct" program, and you can start to see why there's so much junk on Steam. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's well over 130 million gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
