Emily Archer and the Curse of Tutankhamun

Not even worth the $1.74 I paid. Hidden object scenes are used repeatedly, and some puzzles which seem impossible are unskipable. Not worth finishing. Usually I'm not this annoyed with a game, but I'd say skip this one for sure.

I've purchased quite a few games from this company. Unless I missed a tutorial I can't find a way to get more hints. Asked about it in forum, and, I'm the only one there. I would say take a pass on this one.

It's bad.

This is a routine mobile ported hidden object casual puzzle/adventure game with an ancient Egyptian mystery theme. Solving various puzzles and hidden object minigames progresses the plot and unravels the mystery. As with most mobile ported HOGs, there's a simplistic interface, locked/unchangeable screen resolution, next to no customisability, and somewhat low resolution graphical assets. All of this puts this game below minimum standards for a contemporary PC game. This one is also simplified, it's just a linear set of puzzles thrown at you one after the other, there's no adventure component. Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, they're charging $6, on app stores, it's completely free. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a free mobile game just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. This is unacceptable disrespect for PC gamers.

Simple hidden object scenes with a few minigames mixed in. Not a lot of fluff.

The interesting and mystical plot of the game attracts with its variety of puzzles. The game is suitable for those who like to pass challenges and those who love the detective genre!

Emily Archer and the Curse of Tutankhamun is an enthralling adventure game that takes players on a journey through ancient Egypt. Set against the backdrop of the legendary pharaoh Tutankhamun, the game boasts stunning visuals and immersive gameplay.

This is a simplistic but well made Hidden Object Game. No voice acting but that is preferable to bad voice acting and clunky animation. Minigames were a nice mix but mainly fairly easy. A fun but fairly obvious mystery plot. It really doesn't deserve the current "profile features limited" moniker. A couple of improvements: achievements would be nice and explanations plus a reset button for minigames. My only real complaints some (but not all) of the objects were really small and the click area often required too much accuracy - lots of mis-clicks resulted. One note: explanation of hints - you can have a maximum of 5 hints - if its less than 5 at the beginning of a HOG scene - an ankh will be somewhere in the scene and clicking on it will give you a single hint.
