Looking for a nice relaxing game to casually spend a few hours gaming? MOVE ALONG. This game is vicious. I love to support indy game developers and I saw this was similar to my favorite VR game Pistol Whip so I checked it out. It kicks ass. Between the metal sound track, the unique level environments and ♥♥♥♥♥ DRAGONS, this game is right up my alley. Wondering how good you are? Too bad. Unless you start beating levels on the challenging WARRIOR level you don't even deserve a score. This game reminds me of old school NES games where you had to remember where the baddies were, hone your skills and try 100 times before you even came close to beating that level... but when you did, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did it feel good. Every victory in this game feels earned and even if you beat a level, you better beat it well enough points to unlock a NIGHTMARE difficulty that will haunt your dreams. This is your warning. This game is NOT for casuals. You gotta earn it. I'm not even close to done and I'm already hooked. I'll be craving some DLC as soon as I manage to beat all the levels on at least WARRIOR. See you on the Worldwide scoreboard.
This is one of the most challenging games I've ever played and you will not advance quickly. On trainee mode with my shield on (which reduces 75% of the impact of incoming hits), I still never beat the dragon on ANY trial I entered. Same for my husband. This feels like older games in which you had to work hard for the achievements. We were never frustrated. The soundtrack really amps you and keeps you trying. I highly recommend this game to shooter-style genre lovers as well as music lovers and anyone looking for a great workout. You have to shoot (target guidance as needed in the settings), dodge, duck, and ... well, survive. Personally, I enjoyed it a lot and my husband did too. If your skill level is high enough to switch to warrior mode, then you can earn essences (translate: points) to upgrade the skins on your arrow and lightning rods (which are your weapons). You can unlock new trials/levels to play the more points you earn. Warrior mode also lets you participate in leaderboard competition. This is not just another rails-style shooter game. From the graphics to the gameplay to the challenge levels, this was definitely a game made by VR fans for VR fans. You won't regret it, but your arms might. Hahahaha.
I've been following development since it was first announced and I can honestly say it doesn't disappoint. The game play of Elysium Trials is fast-paced and fun! 😄 Forget games like Pistol Whip, this is the shooter to rule all shooters!, it stands out from the crowd too as it's fantasy and not the usual sci-fi gun type games we are all used to. Elysium offers something fresh and new and it does it incredibly well. The environments are beautiful, Elysium is a very immersive VR game that transports you to a fantasy world complimented by a heavy metal soundtrack which when combined really adds to the intensity of the whole experience. And if that's not enough! Man it's hard! Like old school hard. When you finally place on a leader board you feel pretty accomplished getting there! This game demands skill, speed and precision! I like that the devs have added a 'bullet proof' feature. This allows you to get to grips with the mechanics better without getting blasted out of the water. And how the gameplay is structured into trials giving you something to work towards each time. Again this has an old school arcade feel that i find very appealing. For future updates i would love to see a wider variety of enemy that respond in different ways so you can switch up tactics. I feel like there's lots of potential here as the battle mechanics are so good! Its pretty obvious a lot of thought and design went into them. The game also has a lot of unlockable content, such as weapon skins and achievements which we all love. I would 100% recommend you check out Elysium Trails ❤️
I spent this last night playing the game..nothing, you keep going on cause you want to beat the BOSS LEVEL ! There is a lot good in this game, SOUNDTRACK it's just as i like it in a game where you are gonna sweat !!! Every arena has it's own style and honestly they look well done ! Monster at the end of level is not easy.. it wasn't for me at least and i was mostly in trainee mode ehehe ! If we consider that the game has just been released and that probably devs will bring even more new levels/monsters and weapons.. than you shouldn't lose one moment and buy it ! This kind of game it's a must for every hardcore player , you won't get bored ! you can see my stream about this game here : https://www.facebook.com/Bucefalo.Rome/videos/1037794450458990 or over my twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/bucefalo_rome
ITS GOOD! an immersive VR, shooter experience that kinda reminds me of pistol whip. i like this game more because of the fantasy theme and metal music though. also, genuinely appreciate that it doesn't prioritize rhythm over actual aim and traditional shooter elements
My kind of action. If you're a gamer you will love the challenge Elysium Trials has, especially in champion mode difficulty. There is an end game progression system that unlocks 4 more unique enemies and all doing different things to hand you a nap, and you unlock epic skins that have even more flex as you progress. I don't want to compare this to a dark souls type difficulty shooter, there is a trainee mode that makes it a joy ride for anyone, however in champion mode you need to be a good gamer or else you're donzo, you gotta use strategy, prioritize your magic weapon and take out the most dangerous enemies first which are those little Anaki dudes that take 1 shot! I have failed over and over on champion mode trying to race the end game, but I'm going to finish the rest of the trails on warrior first, I did get 1 champion mode trial down today and it felt amazing! The gameplay is 5 star, music is incredible. Epic Fantasy Metal...
This game is awesome! I have only played it for an hour and I am hooked. The weapons in this game are really well done. This is not a typical pushover easy mode game.
This game is AWESOME! Really fun. I got hooked into this game, I love it, however my skill level isn't matched for warrior mode...yet I'm now working on beating my first warrior mode level, but I have finally beaten all trials on trainee mode and getting better and better. 5 star game for anyone of all, skill levels.
A new rail shooter that I can best describe as Pistol whip, but with a fantasy and heavy rock/metal theme. And it's waaaaaay harder. If you like challenging fantasy games, rock music, and getting put in the dirt, then you’ll absolutely love this. The gameplay is face paced and fun, and there is quite a bit of skill involved. You have to use different combos on each of the 8 unique enemies to earn essence. And then progress through each trial until you face the end boss. I found it very immersive with good graphics, and each of the trials are extremely unique with a banging soundtrack to go with it. There’s solid replayability with leaderboards, weapon skins, achievement and trophies to unlock. Youtube Review video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P663jNBJ1ys In Elysium Trials you'll run through a brief tutorial from which you'll be dropped into the main hub. Here you can then choose 1 of 7 different and unique levels. You'll also get to practice on the different enemies in the hub as well as read some lore on each location, select difficulties, and adjust modifiers. The game looks visually great and has great soundtracks. I'd also note that the spacial audio isn't only exemplary but absolutely demanded during your runs. The runs themselves are indeed challenging (updated since playing to ease up on players). While the enemies feel like decent enough variety, I would like to see more variety in the weapons you can use as a crossbow and lightning wand are all you get, however there are unlockable skins you can earn by completing more challenging runs. Overall it's a very fun game but could use a bit more in the weapons department.
